MLB & Lucasfilm Join PlayStation Network's Video Delivery Service

273w ago - Today PlayStation Store Senior Manager Grace Chen has announced that MLB and Lucasfilm have joined PlayStation Network's video delivery service.

To quote: This week we're excited to report the launch of several new partners on PlayStation Network that offer even more downloadable entertainment and sports from PlayStation Store.

[Register or Login to view links] presents Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a CGI animated TV series set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy. And for you baseball fans, we've just launched [Register or Login to view links] content - the current 2009 World Series featuring the Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Yankees (in case you've missed any of the games so far), and also a section with classic games.

Sky Player and SkyTV Service May Be Coming to PlayStation 3

274w ago - Sky Player launched this week on the Xbox 360 (pictured below), and according to Sky it may come to the PS3 console as well.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com (linked above), Sky's director of On Demand Griff Parry said, to quote: "It [Sky Player on PS3] may very well happen in the future."

When asked if Sky was actively trying to make available the Sky Player on PS3, Parry replied:

"I can talk generally about our desire to extend to any device that supports a good quality experience to project the content. The PS3 is clearly a device where that is possible. And so it may very well happen in the future. Having said that, we're very happy to be working with Xbox for the time being."
