Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! for PSP Hits PlayStation Store

271w ago - Today NIS America, Inc. PR/Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has announced that Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! for PSP is making its way to Sony's PlayStation Store next month.

To quote: NIS America has decided to release Badman exclusively on the PlayStation Network on July 16, 2009. The reason we're going this direction is because the demo version of Badman on PSN was so surprisingly well received, and we thought Badman would be the perfect title to test the waters of this download-only release opportunity on PSN.

Badman is a relatively small title in terms of download size, and with a PSN release we can provide this title to our fans for only $19.99. We hope that you all are happy with this decision :-)

After the launch of the Badman demo, I noticed that some people were a little confused and struggled with the gameplay. Badman has very simple rules, but it is still very challenging. The first couple of stages will be easy to beat, but it gets tougher as you go forward. So, NIS America has created a [Register or Login to view links].

Sony Finally Finds Smart Marketing for the PlayStation Portable

250°
271w ago - It appears the idea of console exclusives is over with the recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for PlayStation Portable.

The Nintendo DS version has been out on the market since March 17, 2009, plenty of time for the Grand Theft Auto fanatic to either purchase the game for the DS or go and buy a Nintendo DS just so it could be played.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is the third GTA title to release on the PlayStation Portable after GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories. It makes sense on a business level for Sony to start pushing for more titles on the PlayStation Portable, and even more so the upcoming PSP Go.

Sony needs to properly support the PSP Go from launch. They cannot afford to release the new PSP and leave it on the market for a couple months before properly supporting it. This is primarily because of the PSP Go's lack of UMD drive.

Granted, gamers could use the PlayStation Store to download PSOne Classics or even some older PSP titles onto the PSP Go, but where will the money be at? The new downloadable titles. With Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars releasing around the same time, there is a title that will help sell the PSP Go for early...

First Details of Rockstar's Agent for PlayStation 3 Revealed

50°
271w ago - During in [Register or Login to view links] with Eurogamer, Take-Two's Ben Feder discussed some minor details about Rockstar's upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive: Agent.

During Sony's press conference the only announcement made was that the game was, indeed, going to be made with the Sony system in mind, but it was mysteriously without images or the slightest of details.

To quote: Ben said that the series is its own franchise entirely, which is something that led to the decision to make it a platform exclusive. They wanted to make sure it got users' attention - a promise that an exclusive title certainly carries. When asked about the initial comparisons to Grand Theft Auto, his answer was a bit more cryptic.

"It's a completely different storyline, there is completely different character development. It's a game about espionage, set in the 1970s. GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to riches experience. Very, very different storylines, very different character development. It's going to be very fresh for gamers."

It sounds like he's dodging the question a bit, and saying that the game has a different story than Grand Theft Auto isn't in any way saying that the game will play differently....

Final Fantasy is Coming to the Japanese PlayStation Store

200°
271w ago - Today, June 24, 2009 the Japanese PlayStation Store will be updated with yet another Final Fantasy PSOne Classic.

This time it's the original [Register or Login to view links], numero uno, weighing in at 60MB. When the game launches, it will go for 600 Yen.

No word on if or when it'll come to the West, but probably a bit after considering Final Fantasy VII came and Final Fantasy Tactics is on the way.

As always, more details to come as they are available!
