Hi Everyone - It's time for the weekly PlayStation Store Update.

Updates
Tank Battles Price Drop (now $6.99)

Downloadable Games
Braid ($14.99)
Braid is an artful puzzle-platformer where the player manipulates the flow of time in strange and unusual ways. In each world, time behaves differently, and it is time's strangeness that creates the puzzles. The time behaviors include: rewinding, independent time streams, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and perhaps more.
Braid treats the player's time as precious; there is no filler. Each puzzle shows the player something new about the game world.
ESRB Rated E10+

Braid for PS3 is Available Today on PlayStation Network

100°
266w ago - Update: It's now out in Europe as of today too!

Today Joel DeYoung of [Register or Login to view links] has announced that Braid for PS3 is available on Sony's PlayStation Network.

To quote: On behalf of Hothead Games, I'm excited to be able to present you with Braid, available today for $14.99 on PSN in North America.

At Hothead, we work diligently to support developers throughout the indie community, and [Register or Login to view links], the original creator of the game, has been a particularly great partner (we also worked with him on a Mac version earlier this year).

When Braid first came out, we were really blown away by its combination of unique art style and clever puzzle gameplay, but there was just one problem - it was only on one platform!

At Hothead, we really believe strongly in being platform-agnostic (we even ship our games on Linux!), so we thought it only right for PS3 players to have access to Braid too. We got in touch with Jon and suggested working together on realizing his vision on additional platforms.

As we collaborated on the project, there were two big things that we always kept in mind - the first was preserving that original impactful moment when...

European PlayStation Store Update for November 12, 2009

50°
266w ago - Today Mike Kebby from the SCEE PlayStation Store Team is back with this week's European PSN Update, as follows:

So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week, and in relation to this (just in case any of you missed it) we added the original Call of Duty: Classic to the PS Store on Tuesday evening (given a fresh lick of paint and with online 8 player multiplayer).

I know lately we've had a bit of a lull in the updates, and whilst they may not have been massive, we have been adding steadily to the store (for you PSP users especially), but next week, there should be a nice stream of content released, and I'm hopeful that some of you will be pleased once you see what's coming .

There will always be dips in the release schedule, that's just the way it goes at times, but we always come out the other side smiling don't we? Seriously though, we'll be doing our best to make sure these lulls become less and less frequent, because we do want our community to be happy smiley folk after all!

• Operation Anchorage (€7.99)

266w ago - The 'father' of Sony's PlayStation Ken Kutaragi has announced the launch of a new Cyber company today, with the business based in Tokyo.

The firm works in Internet services, however, it is not yet detailed how it may overlap into the videogame industry.

To quote: "The former chairman and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, Ken Kutaragi, has established a new company in Tokyo.

A report from Japanese news group [Register or Login to view links], brought to attention in a [Register or Login to view links] report, claims that the new company is called 'Cyber AI Entertainment'.

Kutaragi, widely known as the 'father of PlayStation', has a purported 90 per cent stake in the new firm. Reports also indicate that Cyber AI Entertainment has raised 20 million Yen in capital.

The start-up firm will work in the field of internet services, though it is currently unclear exactly how the business will operate and if it will overlap with the game industry."
