269w ago - When Sony announced they would be releasing God of War and God of War II in one God of War: Collection package, many gamers became excited.

With new features like support for PS3 Trophies, the God of War: Collection went from just being a re-release of two awesome PS2 games, to one of the biggest PS3 releases of the year.

On top of two great games, Sony is also including a demo of God of War III.

To quote: Below, you'll find the first gameplay footage from the collection. The game looks much cleaner that the original versions were.

Special thanks to Hen0sz3r0 for uploading the footage.

Video: TGS 2009: Hands-on with Bayonetta for PlayStation 3

100°
270w ago - Today JoyStiq posted a video (below) from Tokyo Game Show 2009 showcasing Bayonetta for PlayStation 3.

To quote from their synopsis on the PS3 title: "Centered on the exploits of an improbably posh witch and her fashionable pair of gun boots, Bayonetta feels like the result of designer Hideki Kamiya answering every development question with, "Sure, why not?"

The game's hyper excess occasionally veers into the distasteful - Bayonetta's clothing seems to come and go as it pleases - but it mostly leads to situations that feel creative and surprising.

Even a boss fight avoids routine by constantly changing pace: a battle on a bridge eventually becomes airborne after the whole structure is flung across the stage, and the ordeal isn't over until after a brief chase and a final showdown atop a winding set of stairs."

Zombie Apocalypse Demo Hits PS3 Today via PlayStation Network

270w ago - Today Nihilistic Software Community Manager and Designer Mark Cooke has announced that a Zombie Apocalypse demo is available for PS3 via Sony's PlayStation Network.

To quote: Today on PSN a shambling mass of rotting corpses have appeared and are threatening the safety of the human race on Earth.

You can do your part to fight back the zombie hordes in our new game, Zombie Apocalypse, developed by [Register or Login to view links] and published by [Register or Login to view links]. For $9.99 you'll shoot loads of zombies with one to four players fighting cooperatively in an online enabled zombie kill fest.

When Nihilistic first sat down and thought about creating a downloadable title, we immediately wanted to do it in the horror genre. We've got a lot of zombie and horror fans here. Not to mention some hardcore fans of old-school shooters. Combining the two felt logical and Zombie Apocalypse was born.

Thematic inspiration was drawn primarily from classic zombie films of the 70s and 80s. Two films in particular are ZOMBIE (aka Zombi 2) by Lucio Fulci, and Nightmare City by Umberto Lenzi. The first level in Zombie Apocalypse is set in an airport which is a homage to Nightmare City. If you haven't heard of either of these...
