PlayStation Network Cards Selling in Game Cases in Europe

550°
269w ago - It appears Sony Europe has money to burn, as they will be selling PlayStation Network Cards in standard Blu-ray game cases in Europe.

They will be available in September, in both £20 and £50 denominations.

To quote: "PlayStation Network Cards are, for some, the only way to add credit easily to your PlayStation Network wallet.

The idea is simple - purchase a PlayStation Network Card from a shop, enter the 12-digit code and fill up your Store wallet.

The odd thing? SCEE will be using real plastic Blu-ray boxes to house them in, presumably so it makes you think you're getting something tangible and also, we guess, to make the retail outlets a bit happier."

"Preview of an exciting forthcoming nDreams Home space ONLY on this Twitter feed next week... *drum roll*"

Video: Removing the PlayStation 3 Slim's Hard Drive

550°
269w ago - Today Engadget has done a 'hands on' PlayStation 3 Slim video detailing the PS3 Slim hard drive removal, as we now know that it's upgradeable.

Check out the video below, and to quote: "There's also a small segment that confirms what many readers have asked about:

Yes, the 2.5-inch Serial ATA hard drive is indeed removable and is done so with Sony's blessing (i.e. no worries, it won't void your warranty).

The HDD enclosure is located behind a front panel just under the disk drive, which is a snap to pull out once you undo the blue screw from the bottom of the console."
