181w ago - The BBC iPlayer has been available on Sony's PlayStation 3 console for quite some time, however, according to the BBC's Simon Cross the BBC iPlayer 3 will be coming to the PS3 entertainment system this year.
According to TechRadar, a new version of the catch-up TV service known as the iPlayer 3 will arrive as soon as technical issues with the sign-in process are resolved.
To quote: "Cross also noted that new functionality would be appearing on the application, including a For You section which would consist of shows you may be interested in.
There will also be more social network functionality, although it was unclear whether the Facebook and Twitter integration would make the move to the PS3.
The biggest problem the BBC is trying to overcome is signing into the app and how the BBC is going to implement this.
"We don't know whether to integrate it with the PSN signing in process or do something new," Cross explained."
Jem Alexander: How does Lego Harry Potter differ from previous Lego games?
Jonathan Smith: With every new game we make we try to raise the bar and there are lots of technical innovations in Lego Harry Potter. The new layer of physics makes the world more realistic and enable us to build with Lego using magic in a way you've never been able to do before.
And taking advantage of this wonderful setting of Hogwarts and the magical characters within it, we can use magic to create a new kind of lego gameplay as well, with characters that learn new spells over a long period of time, so that they're always progressing over what is a very sizeable adventure...
197w ago - Sony's PlayStation 2 console turns ten years old today (yesterday in some parts of the world) and was first shown at a Japanese event in 1999.
Launch titles were limited, with Ridge Racer 5 and Street Fighter EX3 standing out. The machine went on to launch later that year in both the US and EU, hitting on October 26 and November 24 respectively.
To quote: "Ten years ago today on March 5th, 2000, Sony released the first version of the PlayStation 2 in Japan, which means the game-console is essentially turning 10 years old today.
The PS2 was later released in North America on October 26, 2000. With more than 140 million units sold as of September 2009, the PlayStation 2 has become the best-selling video game-console of all time and sales are surprsingly still going strong.
Believe it or not, several new games are scheduled to be released for the platform this year.
It's definitely a great milestone for such a revolutionary and innovative game-console that really changed the way we played video games. Happy 10th birthday to the PlayStation 2!"
206w ago - This weekend Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has sent Happy New Year 2010 wishes to PS3 fans.
To quote: All of us at Naughty Dog wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!
2009 has been both incredibly busy AND amazing year for us on all counts. We started the year off working hard on UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves and we had no idea what was going to be in store for us and for our fans as the year progressed.
We had our heads down for most of the year making sure we put together an awesome game that we think you would like, but when E3 came around, we took a moment to stop and realize that things were really coming together as UNCHARTED 2 picked up over 20 awards when all was said and done.
It's safe to say we were stoked to get this recognition and it made us kick things up a notch over the next several months as we were putting the finishing touches on our game. When we released UNCHARTED 2 in October to critical acclaim, we were looking forward to hearing what all of our fans thought on NaughtyDog.com, the PlayStation forums, Twitter and anywhere else on the Internet you discussed our game.
Now, we're wrapping up the year watching our game win Game of the Year...
