Tozai Games Announces R-Type Dimensions is Out Today on PS3

13w ago - Tozai Games Public Relations Representative David Bruno announced that R-Type Dimensions is out today on PS3 with details below.

To quote: We're back with another look at R-Type Dimensions on PS3 (available today for only $9.99). Before you rush off to buy it, I wanted to give future R-9A Arrowhead pilots a few tips and a closer look at R-Type Dimensions' new features.

First off, R-Type Dimensions features a newly arranged soundtrack by Kenichiro Iwasaki that is pure audio bliss, and is a perfect matchup to the game's new HD graphics.

Speaking of new audio and graphics brings me to the option to swap back and forth between the new and the old. In R-Type Dimensions players can swap between the new versions of R-Type and R-Type II on the fly, directly in the midst of the action, simply by pressing the Triangle button on DualShock 3, or on an arcade stick.

It's awesome to see and hear the changes right there on the spot without having to back out of the game, return to the menu, and start the game all over again. And if a player prefers to map any of the controls to another button, R-Type Dimensions features full controller customization, too!

Another new feature which I am in love with is the slow-motion feature. At any point during the game, players can hold...

13w ago - Supergiant Games Creative Director Greg Kasavin announced that Transistor is out today on PS4, alongside a track from the OST below.

To quote: On behalf of all of us at [Register or Login to view links], it's my pleasure to announce that Transistor is now available on PS4! Get it right [Register or Login to view links].

Want to know what you're getting yourself into? Our new launch trailer will give you an idea:

Sometimes we're asked "who does your trailers," and the answer is: We do! Our trailers are important to us. Cutting a trailer means packing the atmosphere and feel of our game as tight as possible, to give you a strong impression of what we're going for.

We think it's important that our trailers complement our game with original content. This means creating a scene with original art and voiceover that could be taken from some of the gaps in the story.

This way, whether you've never heard of Transistor or whether you've been eyeing its development like a hawk, the trailer will deepen your understanding of the world and its characters.

Speaking of trailers...

PlayStation Now to Launch with Hundreds of Titles, Rumored PS3 Games

350°
14w ago - Following up on the recent PlayStation Now Beta leak, today several PS3 games mysteriously appeared on Sony's PS4 (North American) PlayStation Store possibly to coincide with expansive plans for PlayStation Now which, according to IGN, will launch with hundreds of titles.

To quote via PSU (linked above): "The hawk-eyed folk over at [Register or Login to view links] have been at it once again, this time unravelling what looks to be a leak in relation to Sony’s preparation for its newest cloud service, ‘PlayStation Now’.

The listings (discovered by user KingKiio), found by navigating through ‘’Day-One Digital’’, then by selecting ‘’All Games’’ with the PlayStation Store, feature the likes of Grand Theft Auto V, Dead Space 3, and Diablo III. The games in question cannot be purchased or pre-ordered but trailers and ratings can be viewed. Interestingly the list also contains Naughty Dog’s marquee release, The Last of Us, which is due to receive a new lick of paint with a PS4 release this coming summer.

The leak seemingly coincides with...

Charlie's Games Announces Son of Scoregasm is Coming to PS Vita

50°
14w ago - Charlie's Games developer Charlie Knight announced today that Son of Scoregasm is coming to PlayStation Vita.

Below are the details, as follows: Hi, I'm Charlie of Charlie's Games.

I've been writing and releasing shooty games since 2005, including Irukandji, Bullet Candy, and - most recently - Scoregasm. I'm here to talk about my latest super amazing game Son of Scoregasm, which is coming to PS Vita very soon.

In Son of Scoregasm I've tried to create something slick, varied, challenging, and fun that plays really well on Vita. The game is a sequel to Scoregasm, which was released in 2011, and in essence is a refinement of that game, taking the best bits and improving the rest.

Son of Scoregasm is a twin stick shooter, though not in the typical survival style. Instead, the game is comprised of a series of interlinked levels that you progress through in a non-linear style. What this means is that there are multiple paths through the game, ranging from fairly easy routes to some that are pretty hardcore.

The levels themselves are designed to be different, and there's a real variety of enemies, traps, and bosses for you overcome as you explore the game and find all the exits.

In Son of Scoregasm, the pulse attack is a really helpful, close-range pulse...

50°
15w ago - Supergiant Games Creative Director Greg Kasavin announced today that Transistor on PS4 is out on May 20th, and also is available to pre-order on PlayStation 4 today.

To quote: On May 20th - that's exactly two weeks from today - Transistor will be available on PlayStation 4! We have a bunch of new details to share, starting with the fact that you can preorder the game starting today, as soon as PlayStation Store updates.

Update: You can now pre-order Transistor on [Register or Login to view links].

Now that the game is almost ready, I wanted to get into some more nitty-gritty details about some of its features.

For starters, Transistor features lots and lots of hand-painted 2D artwork, and thanks to PlayStation 4′s raw power, you'll get to experience it just as we intended in full HD 1080p resolution. That's a first for us on console.

Some months ago I also told you a little about how we're using DualShock 4′s light bar in sync with the voiceover in the game. At the end I hinted we were also looking into using the...
