Blue Toad Murder Files Episode 3 Hits PSN Free for One Month

50°
235w ago - Relentless Software Producer Jade Tidy has announced today that Blue Toad Murder Files (Episode 3) is hitting PSN this Thursday and will be free for one month.

To quote: This is our third visit to the PlayStation.Blog to give you some news and hang around afterwards to chat about it.

Other than announcing the game this is probably the most exciting thing we've said - on Thursday 25th February Episode 3 of [Register or Login to view links] will be available on the store free for one month.

You (and many of our colleagues) might think this is crazy but we're really proud of this episode and want as many people to play it as possible. You'll need Episode 1 already installed to play Episode 3.

I know we had a few comments from Australian gamers about the lack of Blue Toad on their store - we're sorry for the delay but we're pleased that you will be able to play Episode 1 to 3 from 25th February too. And don't worry you'll still be able to take advantage of the third episode free as long as you purchase one first!

We're around to answer your questions now so let us know whether you think this is genius or barking.

I'm pleased to say that Savage Moon: The Hera Campaign will be released via PSN on December 22nd. For more info, here's my colleagues at [Register or Login to view links]:

Hello - I'm [Register or Login to view links], the producer of Savage Moon here at [Register or Login to view links] in Bristol, UK.

We're really excited by the PSP version of the game and myself and the rest of the development team has spent the last few months pouring our energy into the game and we're very pleased with the result - and we hope you will be too!

If you haven't played Savage Moon before; it's a real-time, tower defense game pitting you (the humans) against hordes of chitinous, carnivorous, bug-like creatures called Insectocytes who are the immune system of living planets (called Imoons) the humans are trying to mine.

The Hera campaign is the third project we've done - following on from the PS3 release and the [Register or Login to view links] expansion pack...

Nintendo to Offer WiiWare Demos Later This Month

50°
247w ago - Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has confirmed that in the near future it will test out providing demos on the WiiWare service.

Apparently the reason why demos will be provided on the network is because Nintendo wants to try and lure in new shoppers to the service.

To quote: "During the Q&A session at a recent earnings briefing, Iwata told investors that Nintendo would begin a test program for WiiWare demos some time this month. The test will cover just a few titles.

According to Iwata, Nintendo is undertaking this test to see if it can get more players shopping on the Wii Shopping Channel.

He admitted that the market for WiiWare and DSi Ware is currently small, with the Wii Shopping Channel and DSi Shop browsed only by people who already know the game they want to get."

LocoRoco PlayStation Home Space is Slated for Next Month

100°
249w ago - Sony has revealed that a new LocoRoco personal space is slated for PlayStation Home next month.

The new PS3 space revolves around the LocoRoco theme, including 3D character models alongside other elements taken from the game.

To quote: The LocoRoco personal space is designed in the image of a southern island and features 3D LocoRoco models along with other elements from the game.

Sony says to expect "gimmicks" from the game that will give the LocoRoco space a unique feel from other personal spaces.

Look for this new addition to Home in November. Sony is presumably timing the release with LocoRoco Midnight Carnival's November 1 domestic release."
