210w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a video today of Killzone 3 meeting the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter on the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: Last week saw the introduction of the PlayStation Move sharp shooter, an upcoming peripheral which transforms the PlayStation Move motion controller into a sleek assault rifle designed for hardcore shooters such as Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4.

The sharp shooter's feature set is extensive, so I went hands-on to learn more about its functionality and (surprisingly easy) setup process. [Register or Login to view links] Managing Director Hermen Hulst and I field tested the PS3's new weapon of choice.

Developed with input from the FPS experts at Guerrilla Games and [Register or Login to view links], the sharp shooter is a snap to assemble: you secure a navigation controller into the foregrip, then fasten the PlayStation Move motion controller into the "barrel," which connects to a small digital port on the bottom of the PlayStation Move called the extension connector.

In comparison, the PlayStation Move Shooting Attachment is mechanical; the sharp shooter's use of the extension connector means that buttons...

Video: PixelJunk Shooter 2 Online Battles, 20 Weapons, New Boss

210w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has made available a video today showcasing PixelJunk Shooter 2 PSN online battles, 20 weapons, and a new boss.

To quote: Here at [Register or Login to view links] we've been ultra-busy finishing PixelJunk Shooter 2; unfortunately it took a little longer than we expected but that's because of a number of (very cool) reasons!

You may have already heard, but PixelJunk Shooter 2 has the most insanely fun online Versus mode that has ever been created. Rather than just do a simple battling-type system, we created a special cat-and-mouse type game which has you and the enemy take turns as cat or mouse, either scouring the stage for the other player or running away from him.

The trick being that the "mouse" is invisible to the other player unless he views you directly, so you can sneak around collecting the survivors and transporting them to your base. Each survivor that goes into your base is an extra point. But watch out: When it is the other player's turn to play mouse they can steal them back if they are cunning enough.

Carefully laid out on top of this really addictive core game is a league system that earns you "money" that you can use to buy...

211w ago - Today Sony's Hardware Product Marketing Manager Anand Agarwal has revealed a new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter Attachment which will arrive next February.

To quote: There's been a lot of talk about what shooter games will be like using motion control.

We know that some of you gamers might be a bit hesitant to put down the gamepad, but we believe the upcoming PlayStation Move sharp shooter will make motion control for shooter games quite irresistible.

Available concurrently with the highly anticipated Killzone 3 in Feb 2011 for $39.99 (MSRP), the sharp shooter is perfect for gamers who want to experience the most realistic action possible.

The PlayStation Move sharp shooter houses both the motion controller and navigation controller, giving you complete control over aiming, movement and interaction within the game. It will truly offer the most intuitive and immersive control experience ever found in a shooter game.

It was designed for both comfort and precision, including easily accessible buttons, a responsive digital trigger, adjustable shoulder stock and convenient access to the navigation controller. In addition, the sharp shooter has incorporated a firing mode selector, realistic pump-action and a reload button that allow for new ways of engagement.
