Final Fantasy IX Returns to PS3 and PSP on PlayStation Network

218w ago - Today Square Enix Europe's Brand Manager Antonio Marfuggi has announced that Final Fantasy IX is returning to both the PS3 and PSP on PlayStation Network!

To quote: Today's a special day, here at [Register or Login to view links]: FINAL FANTASY IX; one of our most celebrated games is now available again from PlayStation Store for all PS3 and PSP users.

Ten years have passed since it made its first, triumphant appearance on the original PlayStation. And since then, it has been regarded as a milestone in the history of console RPGs, and games in general.

Players will have the chance to own and experience the tale of young thief Zidane, kind black mage Vivi and beautiful princess Garnet, and their quest to defeat the evil forces of the Queen of Alexandria.

A true classic, FINAL FANTASY IX introduced elements such as the Active Time Events and Mog-Net into the FINAL FANTASY universe, as well as the renowned Tetra Master card mini-game.

Frogger Returns is Coming to PS3 on PlayStation Network

248w ago - Konami announced today that Frogger Returns will be hitting the PS3 on PlayStation Network and the Nintendo Wii via WiiWare.

To quote: "This modern take on the franchise adds a few power-ups (like the ability to reverse and stop time) and invincibility.

Frogger Returns promises to be "12 times the size of the original" and will also offer "local multiplayer," according to the official press release. No details on price were revealed, but Konami's aiming for a release on both WiiWare and PlayStation Network later this fall."

Video: PULSE Returns Today, Covers Battlefield 1943 and More!

265w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi has announced that Pulse, presented by the PlayStation Network, has returned today with an extended look at Battlefield 1943, a peek at the free "Sacktue of Liberty" Sackboy costume, and a look back at the original Metal Gear Solid.

To quote: For those of you who haven't experienced the Ghostbuster Fire House HQ and the SOCOM Tactical Operations Center spaces launched earlier in PlayStation Home, PULSE also takes a quick tour of these very cool spaces.

The Top 10 Games focuses on PSone Classics, while the Top 10 Videos combines both television and movie titles for the month of June.

And, yes, Christina's voice is back too!

Create-a-School Returns to NCAA Football 10 for PS3

275w ago - NCAA Football enthusiasts are already rejoicing- promotional materials tout a "teambuilder" feature in NCAA 10 that signals the return of "Create-a-School," which has yet to appear on any next-gen versions.

Tuesday, the back side of a GameStop placeholder for the game made its way to the forum NCAA Strategies. One of the details listed is the "revolutionary, in-depth create-a-school mode."

Then Thursday, EA Sports [Register or Login to view links] the existence of "Teambuilder" in its announcement of the four different cover boys for this year's game.

To quote: NCAA Football 10 introduces TeamBuilder, an all-new, online create-a-school feature that will enhance the user's ability to produce personalized content. With the capability to upload logos and numerous customization options for uniforms, fields, rosters, and much more, TeamBuilder gives users the opportunity to design completely original teams with infinite possibilities.

XBox 360 RRoD Returns - Isn't This Issue Getting Out of Hand?

286w ago - Similar to what happened [Register or Login to view links], the dreaded 'Red Ring of Death' (RRoD) issue rears its ugly head back with a vengeance.

Microsoft [Register or Login to view links] released a mandatory update, which is causing many of the consoles to RRoD. With all of the launch consoles [Register or Login to view links], will the new update cause problems for many Xbox 360 owners?

After updating my Xbox 360, I experienced some issues with my console. My console successfully updated but when I went into the XBL Marketplace to download a demo, my system suddenly froze. After rebooting the console, it froze again during the boot-up sequence. I started sweating bullets as flashbacks of last Christmas started dancing around my head.

However, my console came back after I unplugged the power source and let it cool down for a bit. I jumped onto the official Xbox forums to see if anyone else had similar issues and to my surprise, other owners were getting the dreaded RRoD. Unfortunately, it seems that the update is bricking many of the consoles...
