13w ago - Commercial Director at d3t Ltd Jamie Campbell officially announced Lemmings Touch for PlayStation Vita today.
Below are the details, as follows: Hi to all you readers! My name's Jamie; I'm one of the co-owners of d3t Ltd., and I'm very excited to announce Lemmings Touch on the PS Vita.
It's fantastic to finally be able to talk about Lemmings Touch. d3t has been working on the Lemmings franchise since the Playstation Mobile version, which we were extremely happy with.
We always wanted to see what we could do with the Lemmings franchise on a device as capable as PS Vita, so we took on board all of the feedback we received from the Playstation Mobile version and, as you will see when you get hands-on with Lemmings Touch, you guys have helped d3t make it an extraordinarily refined and enjoyable experience.
We're a 2 year-old team made up of a group of immensely experienced programmers. Over the past two years, we've been applying our skills to a wide range of cool stuff. One of the things we love doing is working on new platforms and technologies, and one example was bringing Lemmings to the Playstation Mobile platform.
As well as developing games, we also assist other studios with their technology development to help move the industry forward at breakneck speed....
13w ago - Guerrilla Cambridge Senior Producer Mark Green confirmed alongside a launch trailer video that Killzone: Mercenary hits PS Vita in North America today!
To quote: Killzone Mercenary is out today in North America!
Players who purchase Killzone Mercenary on PlayStation Store will receive the "Blackjack's Briefcase" pre-order bonus, which includes an in-game cash bonus and 48 hours of Double XP.
(Please note that you must be online for the Double XP bonus to count.) Next Tuesday, September 17th, the offer goes away and users who purchase on PSN will only get the game. If you're keen to go digital, take advantage before it's too late!
It's been a fantastic voyage for us, and we're immensely proud of what we've been able to create - the true Killzone FPS experience on a handheld.
A twin-stick shooter on a HD screen in the palm of your hands, with substantial replayability built in and, if I do say so myself, an addictive multiplayer game integral to the whole experience.
The multiplayer game has been through a few stages of Betas over the last couple of months, and we are immensely grateful to all everyone who took part - especially those who took the time to provide...
14w ago - Today Zeboyd Games Lead Designer Robert Boyd announced that Retro Sci-fi RPG Cosmic Star Heroine is coming to PS4 and PS Vita alongside VVVVVV to PlayStation Vita as well.
To quote: We here at the two-man development studio known as Zeboyd Games are pleased to announce that our next RPG, Cosmic Star Heroine, will be coming out on PS4 and PS Vita next year! And to go along with that announcement, here's our Sega-CD inspired opening video for our game! Enjoy!
A very special thanks to Dean Dodrill (Dust: An Elysian Tail) who helped out with effects and animation, as well as Chris Geehan and Dan Byrne-McCullough over at Hyperduck (who did the music for our last RPG) for helping make that video go to 11! And of course, our own Bill Stiernberg, who handled the brunt of the work!
Cosmic Star Heroine is our latest attempt to recapture the feel of some of the classic RPGs of the 90s, while putting our own unique spin on the whole experience. Inspired by games like Chrono Trigger (visual style, on-map battles, combo techniques), the Phantasy Star series (overall feel of the worlds and characters), and the Suikoden series (political intrigue, expandable player headquarters), we can't wait to share Cosmic Star Heroine with you!
15w ago - Sony PlayStation Community Manager shared details today on the photography in Tearaway on PS Vita inviting fans to let your creativity loose.
To quote: Tearaway is about going on an adventure. It's a very personal journey between two people: you, and your new messenger friend.
If you're going on an adventure, you're likely going to see lots of amazing things, and you'll probably want to tell people about them. That's why we gave Iota and Atoi their own cameras!
As soon as we put the camera into Tearaway, the whole studio started documenting and sharing their journeys through the vibrant, papery landscapes, and in addition to providing us with mementos, it was clear that it could be a great avenue for creativity, too. If you know anything about us, you'll know that's something we can't help but include in our games.
You'll be awarded the camera early in your adventure. It comes with a kit lens, with a nice depth of field, and you can get snapping straight away. To unlock new lenses and special filters, you'll need to collect confetti; little colourful bits of paper you'll see throughout the world. You can spend this confetti on numerous things, including camera items.
There are five additional lenses to collect, each brings something different...
15w ago - Witch Beam Artist/Programmer Tim Dawson announced today that Assault Android Cactus is set to unleash bullet hell on PS4 and PS Vita!
To quote: Hello PlayStation gamers! I'm thrilled to announce that our action-packed shoot 'em up, Assault Android Cactus, is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita!
For those of you who have never heard of Assault Android Cactus, it's about a team of androids trying to rescue a spaceship by fighting back against a robot uprising. Over a 25-level campaign, the androids will face screens of enemies, brave bullet hell style bosses and environments that switch, shift and transform around them.
These androids are pretty tough, getting knocked down clears their powerups but they can get right back up again. The catch is they run on battery, and when that runs out it's game over!
Putting the onus for action on the player turns typical twin stick pacing on its head - it's not a game you can beat by playing cautiously, the only way to make it out alive is to careen recklessly through the stages and to tame the chaos from within it.
We wanted to create something that captured the spirit of what arcade games meant to us when we were growing up, being tough but fair and the kind of game you could come back to again and again and...
