SACD includes various copy protection measures of which the most prominent is Pit Signal Processing (PSP). The first two generations of Sony's Playstation 3 (PS3) game console are capable of reading SACD ScarletBook and bypass the copy protection.
This software makes use of the PS3 and gives you the option to backup your precious SACDs.
For those unaware, Super Audio CD (SACD) is a high-resolution, read-only optical disc for audio storage. Sony and Philips Electronics jointly developed the technology, and publicized it in 1999. It is designated as the Scarlet Book standard. Sony and Philips previously collaborated to define the Compact Disc standard (as well as the S/PDIF digital audio cable specification)....
134w ago - Today PlayStation 3 hacker Cyberskunk has released a Rebug PS3 CFW Boot OtherOS++ and OtherOS Prep Tool for Linux fans alongside a Rebug 3.41.2 & 3.55.1 Custom Firmware (which allows PSN access using this guide via SP-INT) and details on how to add OtherOS++ support.
From their page: Boot OtherOS++ does what it says. One click easy. OtherOS Prep Tool is used to prepare your system vflash and install petitboot ready to install Linux. IT DOES NOT INSTALL LINUX. For tutorials and videos on how to install Linux head over to gitbrew.org.
OtherOS Prep Tool is based off of graf_chokolo’s and glevand’s source and is a one or two step solution to getting petitboot up and running and on your way to installing Linux on to USB or PS3 Hard Disk. At the moment it only supports 3.55 but we will add support for lower firmware soon.
16MB NOR PS3 (Model CECHH or Higher)
3.55 OtherOS++ enabled firmware installed
(If you want to use REBUG 3.55.1 grab PS3MFW Builder 0.2 Portable from here with the tasks pre-selected to add OtherOS++ support)
141w ago - Today MultiMAN's deanrr has made available new PS3 EBOOTMod and EBOOTFix Tools, which allow users to decrypt and re-encrypt newer PlayStation 3 executable files for use on older PS3 Firmware versions.
To quote: Here is an updated version of the tools. They now handle properly SPRX files. (thanks to belmondo for the hints!)
There are few important fixes (about path with spaces and wrong byte change which may cause crashes and also fixed PARAM.SFO in RETAIL to be DG type). Don't use previous versions I posted. This package also includes multiMAN 01.16.11 (TEST UPDATE#5) which handles properly SPRX files during SHADOW COPY.
ebootFIX now produces TWO separate folders:
One is [NPDRM] - to be used as PSN-styled game to launch from XMB (to be used with multiMAN's shadow copy)
The other one is [RETAIL] - it will generate the full game structure with all subfolders + all EBOOT.BIN / *.self / *.sprx files.
