50°
2w ago - LBP Executive Producer Pete Smith shared a video today showcasing new Create Tools and features in LittleBigPlanet 3 for both PS4 and PS3 platforms below.

To quote: We're showcasing some of the brand new tools and features in LittleBigPlanet 3 at Gamescom this week and we're here today to give you a glimpse at these exciting new gadgets and features that you will be able to use to create your brand new levels!

Customizable Heroes

Our brave, brave new heroes - Oddsock, Swoop, and Toggle - all come with their own unique special abilities and physics but they're capable of oh so much more! Each hero can be fully costumed up just like Sackboy but you can also tweak them all in Create Mode to completely change their handling and abilities for your own levels!

The Blaster Handle

You have all seen his friends' special abilities, but Sackboy has some brand new tricks too! Using the new Blaster Handle tool you can create your very own power-ups for Sackboy to use! Power-ups from goo-firing guns to magically enchanted staffs are now possible... The only limitation is your imagination!

Dynamic Thermometer and Deep Layers

Video: Honeyslug Announces Hohokum Out Today on PS4, PS3, PS Vita

2w ago - Honeyslug Designer and Co-Founder Ricky Haggett announced that Hohokum is out today on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita with a video below.

To quote: Okay wow, the day has finally arrived: the Long Mover's tail has been polished and waxed, the Giant Babirusa's tusks sharpened, and the Popnuts buffed to a high gloss: it's Hohokum laaaaaunch day!

You can purchase today on PlayStation Store, and Hohokum supports cross buy for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

It's a curiously emotional feeling to finally be done. I know that a lot of you folks have been waiting for Hohokum for a while now, so I hope you agree that the wait was worth it.

Possibly the best part about the public release for me is that I'll now be able to talk about the whole game rather than just the parts that we've shown so far. I can't wait to hear what people make of all those other places, and seeing all the experiences you share!

The last few weeks have seen people getting (rightly) excited by the amazing soundtrack: a collaboration with the independent record label [Register or Login to view links]. Working with Ghostly has been a delight. We never imagined Hohokum would sound like this when starting out!

The full soundtrack will be released soon, but you can stream it here...

3w ago - Grip Games CEO Jakub Mikyska posted up a video today announcing that Unmechanical: Extended Edition is coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Hi everyone! This is Jakub from Grip Games, the team that brought you The Impossible Game and the upcoming Jet Car Stunts.

It is my pleasure to be finally able to tell you about our next great project that we are working on right now - Unmechanical: Extended Edition for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

Unmechanical, originally made by Talawa Games and Teotl Studios for PC, is a gorgeous puzzle platformer that won numerous awards for its visual design and, even more importantly, won the hearts of players all around the world. It now finally comes to the PSN in an extended edition that brings new puzzles and story, published by Grip Games.

If you have never heard of Unmechanical before, it may remind you of some of the classic games in the genre, like Limbo, Machinarium or the Oddworld series. You control a little flying robot that has been kidnapped into a strange underground complex.

In order to get out, you will have to solve the mystery of this strangely un-mechanical place and also solve numerous puzzles along the way. See the trailer to...

3w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino announced today that Music estival Sim BigFest is coming to PS4 and PS3 platforms with details and a video below.

To quote: We recently brought you news of our festival management and music discovery game BigFest, where players build their own mega festivals by discovering and promoting real-world, unsigned bands.

Well... we are very excited to announce that the game will also be coming free to play for both the PS4 and PS3!

For PS4, we are taking the Vita version and giving it the next gen makeover - full 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. The game will support Cross Save, so you will be able to play your game out and about on your PS Vita, then come home and carry on exactly where you left off on your PS3 or PS3.

The game itself will have hours of fun gameplay that will satisfy your music discovery and festival gaming needs. We want players to build the biggest, baddest music festivals they can possibly imagine, while discovering and promoting real musicians.

Discovering top talent and selecting the best headliners are just a couple of the important responsibilities players will manage to get the all-important festival 'vibe' up!!
