254w ago - Pain for the PlayStation 3 gaming console is quite the unique game. However I don't feel it's up to par with some of the other games on the PlayStation Network store.
The main problem I have with the game is the fact that although the game is $10 in the U.S. they only give you 1 level to start with. This bugs me as a gamer because I believe for $10 I should get a little bigger game for what I paid for it.
My second complaint is about the game play. Although is really fun when you have a few buddies over for a beer, it just seems repetitive after time. Granted the 2 player is cool, it doesn't make up for the short comings of the 1 player.
Although you can buy add-on levels, I don't believe they are worth their price. Abusement park is almost the exact same thing as d-town.
Movie studio is a little bit better about this, but like the other levels it just becomes repetitive.
Honestly, other then the 2 player I can't find anything I like about PAIN. I'm sorry to those of you who like the game, but I just can't recommend a game to someone that I don't like.
257w ago - There are many people that are new to PAIN and its various expansion packs. The "Abusement Park" add-on is corrupted for anyone that downloads it right now.
Many are blaming the recent 2.53 patch, which adds a free character and YouTube support to the game.
"If you did not have the Abusement park addon downloaded from PSN prior to the update the level is destroyed and unusable, Items fall through the landscape the background image is blank white and the level is unusable."
A quick look at this thread shows a lynch mob asking for Idol Minds' head.
Direct-feed video of the glitch shows how the game is rendered unplayable... because nothing gets rendered! Unfortunately, this glitch doesn't appear to be affecting a small group of people.
Once again, this being the holiday season, it seems unlikely that affected individuals will get a patch in the immediate future.

265w ago - Back in September, it was ruled that an indexing Web site operated legally as it didn't host copyrighted material and linking to infringing material is permitted under Spanish law.
Now it appears as if this notion has gained extra support as a court has decided that a torrent site which was previously shut down by authorities actually operated legally.
To quote: In July 2007 we reported on the case of TodoTorrente.com, one of Spain's largest BitTorrent sites. After a year long investigation by Spain's Anti-Piracy Federation, an announcement was made by the Directorate of Police and Civil Guard - the site had been raided and closed by judicial order while the administrators arrested.
According to Spanish police, the site caused the entertainment industries 535,000 euros in losses and made 30,000 euros in profits. Unfortunately the authorities didn't have the benefit of foresight, which would've given them an understanding of how Spanish law would deal with a site that links to copyright infringing material.
In September 2008, a Spanish court ruled that providing links to copyrighted material is not a crime. The Provincial Court of Madrid ruled that Sharemula.com, a site offering eDonkey links to movies, music, software and games, did not break the law. Furthermore, the...
267w ago - David Hasselhoff aka "The Hoff" has shared the following via PS Blog:
Hello everyone, it's your friendly neighborhood David Hasselhoff here. I know you're probably wondering "What in the KITT am I doing on the PS Blog?" right? Well...settle down...settle down! I'm here to let you know straight from the Hoff's mouth - I'm coming to PAIN! And it hurts so good! Don't believe me, PEOPLE Magazine just broke the story and I'm talking about it on my blog.
What am I doing in PAIN you ask? It's the Movie Studio! What's a movie studio without The Hoff? You can now put The Hoff into a launcher and fling me into harm's way - exploding crates, cars, people - everything is fair game. And best of all, you'll never even put a scratch on this mug of mine!
When I was first approached about PAIN, I really didn't know what to think. I mean, it's great to think that someone would want to put me in a game, but THIS game is all about flinging people into walls, smashing them into cars, and spanking monkeys. While I wholeheartedly approve of the monkey spanking, I wasn't too sure about the rest of the game. When I finally got my hands on PAIN though, everything...
