74w ago - Atlus Lead Editor Mike Meeker has posted up a beginner's guide to Persona 4: Golden today, which is due out next week in stores and on PSN.

Below are the details, as follows: Greetings, readers and ATLUS fans!

I'm aware that some PlayStation RPG fans still haven't heard of Persona 4 Golden, the latest in ATLUS' best-selling Persona series, which hits North American store shelves and PlayStation Network on November 20th.

So what is Persona? Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is Metacritic's PlayStation 2 Game of the Year for 2008. Persona 4 places you in the shoes of a high school student who needs to strike a balance between school, a social life, learning more about his family, and, as it happens, investigating a series of gruesome murders that may or may not involve a psychedelic world that lies behind the screen of every television in town. Whether beating up Shadows or tackling schoolwork, the choices you make will come to affect how others see you, and how you see yourself.

In both Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, you play as transfer student (insert name here) who moves to the sleepy country burg of Inaba. When you arrive, things quickly take a turn for the weird when you learn of a series of murders taking place in the town. You decide to...

75w ago - Today Bethany Aston of Team 17 has announced on Sony's Blog that Alien Breed returns to PlayStation Mobile next week with details below.

To quote: Hi everyone, we are very proud to announce the forthcoming arrival of Alien Breed on PlayStation Mobile! Back on your screens to celebrate its 21st anniversary, it will be available to download on 14th November for just £3.19/€3.99.

For the uninitiated, Alien Breed is the classic sci-fi, top-down shooter developed by Team17. Originally launched in 1991, it's now been remade for PS Mobile, which can only mean one thing... it's time to turn down the lights, turn up the sounds and encounter Alien Breed again!

This release offers the opportunity for both old and new fans to experience the original survival-horror game. Featuring a choice of either old-school Amiga graphics or new enhanced visuals, Alien Breed retains the challenging gameplay of the original while offering players additional assistance in the form of an in-game store for extra ammo, keys and weapons.

Alien Breed features:

• Classic Mode - Play using the original graphics, music and controls
• Enhanced Mode - Featuring enhanced graphics, audio and controls
• 8 new levels - entirely new levels...

Gravity Crash Portable Named Next Exploitable PSP Game for PS Vita

1300°
76w ago - Following up on the previous release and confirming the rumor, today wololo has officially named the next exploitable game that Teck4 is porting TN's eCFW to is indeed Gravity Crash Portable.

Below are the details from his blog, to quote: If you missed both the Ubanix and the Mad blocker alpha exploits, today might be your lucky day. Japanese Developer Teck4 has ported TN’s eCFW to a new game exploit. The game is, as I type this, still available on most stores.

A few weeks ago, developer frostegater announced he was working on a new game exploit in order to bring Total_Noob’s eCFW to even more Vita owner. Sadly, he discovered while working on international versions of the game, that porting his exploits to all locales would not be as easy as expected. Luckily for us, Teck4 also had his own exploit in the work, and was nice enough to share it with the world. Frostegater eventually contributed to this exploit as well, by porting it to the US and EU versions of the game.

The game with the vulnerability is Gravity...

Video: Ibb and Obb: Turning PSN Upside Down Next Spring

79w ago - Sparpweed Creative Director Richard Boeser has posted up a video trailer today introducing Ibb and Obb, which will be turning PSN upside down next Spring!

To quote: ibb and obb is a cooperative puzzle-platformer with a gravity twist that will launch on PSN next spring.

In the earliest stages of development, the game was called Brothers. Looking back at that now, it means a lot more than I thought it did.

My fondest memories of games are those that I played together with my brother or close friends. It has always surprised me how few games are really designed around two-player interaction.

With ibb and obb we've tried to do just that. The gameplay revolves around a world with two directions of gravity, but even more so it's about the interaction between the players.

All elements in the game are designed for two, ranging from the way you solve puzzles to handling enemies. For example, when one player takes out an enemy the other tries to be ready on the other side of the split to fetch the reward.

In the game you explore five worlds consisting of three levels each. Visually, the mood starts out very colorful and adventurous, slowly changing...
