57w ago - Capcom Marketing Manager Tristan Corbett has posted up the launch trailer for Okami HD announcing that it is hitting PSN today!
To quote: At long last I'm pleased to share that the great goddess Amaterasu is ready to save the world once again! Okami HD is launching on PSN today in North America and will be available to download for $19.99 later today with the PlayStation Store update.
In case anyone needs it, here's a quick refresher on all the things we've added to Okami HD:
• The critically acclaimed classic brought to new life on PS3
Full native 1080p visuals brings Okami's stunning visuals into the HD era
• PlayStation Move motion controller support allows players to enjoy the celestial brush in new and intuitive ways
• Trophy Support, including a Platinum trophy, gives players all new challenges to complete
I'd like to extend a big thanks to the PSN community as well as PlayStation.Blog for all their support for Okami HD. Your support helped make this project happen and it is greatly appreciated!
I can say for myself that this title was hands down the most fun I've had working on any project here at Capcom. I hope you all enjoy the game as much as we've enjoyed bringing it to you.
59w ago - LittleBigPlanet Community Coordinator Steven Isbell has posted up a story trailer video today for LittleBigPlanet Karting on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system!
To quote: LittleBigPlanet Karting's newest trailer is here, and it's all about Story Mode. In LittleBigPlanet Karting, LittleBigPlanet is again under siege, this time by a group of ne'er-do-wells known as The Hoard.
These venomous villains have travelled to Craftworld from far, far away on speedy go-karts to seek out and steal its most precious prizes - and it's up to you to stop them. So grip the steering wheel, put the pedal to the metal, and beat those Greedy Gregs back to where they came from!
LittleBigPlanet Karting Video Contest: On your marks. Get set. Vote!
We have chosen the top 10 videos of the LittleBigPlanet Karting commercial entries and want you to help decide who will take 2nd place. While the grand prize winner will be chosen by our expert judges, we want the LittleBigPlanet community to join the race and decide which video will win the $5,000 prize. The more popular you make a video, the better chance it has at winning!
Don't forget to head here by October 25th and vote for your favorite!
63w ago - SCE Worldwide Studios Art Director Gavin Moore has shared a new Puppeteer PlayStation 3 trailer from Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2012 today!
To quote: Hi guys, back again to give you an update on Puppeteer.
First off, please let me thank you all for your wonderful, supportive comments after our announcement at Gamescom last month. It's dedicated PlayStation fans like you that make the incredible amount of hard work that goes into making games worthwhile.
You never know what reaction you will get from your work, and it seems that Puppeteer has hit the right nerve with gamers. So, when I got back from Germany, I started getting ready for Tokyo Game Show.
We aren't showing a playable demo on the show floor, but I have put together another trailer for the show. This one is longer and shows a little bit more of the story, without giving too much away and ruining it for you all. Have a look up above.
We are currently casting in London for the voice actors, so I apologize for the voices in the trailer. It's a little embarrassing because all of the voices are done by me, apart from the narrator.
Actually, I am thinking of doing the Witch's voice...
68w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has posted up some fresh Gamescom 2012 video trailers today showcasing Naval Battles and AC3 Liberation in Assassin's Creed III for the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: To celebrate Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this week, we're giving fans an in-depth look at the breathtaking naval combat in Assassin's Creed III! Submerge yourself in our latest trailer below.
Let's get in to what you just saw in that trailer, because there are a ton of little gameplay nuggets hidden inside it.
First off, check out the attention to detail on the crew and their activities on the deck of Connor's ship, the Aquila... we really wanted to convey the buzzing hive of energy that a ship this size requires just to keep it moving, let alone enter combat.
And when the weather gets rough, Connor may need to put his deft Assassin acrobatics to use, climbing around the rigging and ensuring the sails are properly maintained and operational.
Enemy ships aren't the only threat you'll face along the Eastern shores of North America. Fortunately, you'll have deck guns capable of rotating to remove stationary threats like mines, or even some of the smaller ships that threaten the Aquila.
69w ago - Today Mathew Kumar of the Sound Shapes Team has announced that the title officially hits PSN today, and has made available a new Sound Shapes launch trailer below!
To quote: Sound Shapes is out on PSN today! It's the culmination of a long journey for our boss-men Jonathan Mak and Shaw-Han Liem, who worked on the concept for... more years than they probably want me to say before the reveal at E3 2011, and having worked on the game for a year myself now I think I can speak for the whole team when I say we just want you to play it.
Like... we don't want you to finish reading this blog post, or even probably watch the launch trailer we made. We made Sound Shapes for you to play! So when today's update goes live, get yourself over to the PlayStation Store on your PS3 or PS Vita and pick it up!
The title is $14.99 ($11.99 for PlayStation Plus members this week only) and part of the PSN Play promotion, so if you buy one or more other of the games in the promotion you'll get an increasing amount of money back.
Most importantly, however - Sound Shapes is a cross-play title. Whether you buy it on PS3 or PS Vita, you receive both versions for one price. We cannot stress this enough.
