Sony Announces Limbo is Free for PlayStation Plus Members, More

50°
30w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer announced today that Limbo is free for PlayStation Plus Members as part of this weeks update!

To quote: I'll be honest with you, in general I won't play creepy/horror games because I'm a total wuss and they give me nightmares.

However, when Limbo came around I pushed past my fears and gave it a try, and I'm really glad I did. Yes, it gave me the heeby-jeebies, but it also took me on a really cool journey with interesting puzzles and extremely subtle storytelling.

Despite its cartoon art style, Limbo nails a creepy atmosphere with its sound direction and limited color palette of black, white and shades of grey. You can download Limbo on PS Vita after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 5/27.

Another fun bonus for our Plus members this week is a Battlefield 4 timed trial which you can read more about here.

Valiant Hearts: A More Personal War Story Coming to PS4 and PS3

50°
30w ago - Sony Content Manager Ed Casey made available a video showcasing Valiant Hearts stating it's a more personal war story which is coming to PS4 and PS3 consoles.

To quote: Valiant Hearts: The Great War is not the type of war story we're used to seeing in games.

Instead of focusing on soldiers, Valiant Hearts spotlights the lives of ordinary people thrust into an impossible, unbearable situation, and tells a personal and touching story set against the chaotic backdrop of World War I.

In this Developer Diary the Valiant Hearts team discusses the origins of the game and the research involved in creating the characters and atmosphere.

Combining real stories and World War I history with imagination and a unique art style they tell a story of love, loss, and adventure unlike any other.

You'll get to experience this story for yourself very soon, as the game will debut on PS4 and PS3 on June 24.

31w ago - Following up on the recent PlayStation Now Beta leak, today several PS3 games mysteriously appeared on Sony's PS4 (North American) PlayStation Store possibly to coincide with expansive plans for PlayStation Now which, according to IGN, will launch with hundreds of titles.

To quote via PSU (linked above): "The hawk-eyed folk over at [Register or Login to view links] have been at it once again, this time unravelling what looks to be a leak in relation to Sony’s preparation for its newest cloud service, ‘PlayStation Now’.

The listings (discovered by user KingKiio), found by navigating through ‘’Day-One Digital’’, then by selecting ‘’All Games’’ with the PlayStation Store, feature the likes of Grand Theft Auto V, Dead Space 3, and Diablo III. The games in question cannot be purchased or pre-ordered but trailers and ratings can be viewed. Interestingly the list also contains Naughty Dog’s marquee release, The Last of Us, which is due to receive a new lick of paint with a PS4 release this coming summer.
