199w ago - Just a few days after kakarotoksreleased a kernel module to dump out the PS3 Hypervisor and Bootloader someone named Ps3 Memory Dump from GeoHot's blog did just that, and has leaked it publically as pictured below.
The included ReadMe file acknowledges is0mick's recent Atmega8 port, however, it curiously attempts to flame other PS3 News Devs despite using their code to make the HV dump... go figure, eh?
Preliminary examination of the leaked dump is currently underway by both Devs and end-users alike, with a few noteworthy findings thus far as follows:
201w ago - Recently misterwabo uploaded a video of what appears to be some leaked gameplay footage of Duke Nukem Forever to YouTube.
The newly found remains from the exploded corpse of Duke Nukem Forever have given followers of the Duke Nukem soap opera another chance to grieve the loss of 3D Realms' game.
To quote: "The apparently leaked footage is dark, blurry, occasionally covered in on-screen blood and might be familiar feeling to those of you who have sought out every scrap of footage and screen shot from the long in development Duke Nukem Forever.
At least, that's what we think this new-to-us footage is from, based on the enemies, fingerless gloves and big weapons.
And you know, some of it looks quite good, particularly the lovely headshot scatter and explosions. Plus, how often do you get accurate tumbleweed physics?"
206w ago - Below is a video from GossipGamers.com (linked above) of what appears to be leaked XBox 360 footage of Half-Life 2 being played on Microsoft's upcoming system Project Natal.
It comes courtesy of nutcrackr via YouTube, as it seems someone secretly leaked out the clip.
This is most likely early footage of the beta testing for a FPS game on the Natal and of course, there is no confirmed source where the video came from so take it as you like.
To quote from the video's caption: "Brief clip of Project Natal for Half-Life 2. Situated in Isaac Kleiner's Lab, it shows some movement and turning with hand gestures and also some interaction with the teleporters.
213w ago - Today MCVUK.com (linked above) is reporting that XBox 360 Project Natal launch details have leaked from a Microsoft Tour of UK publishers and studios.
According to the leaked information, the controller-free XBox 360 camera will be released worldwide in November, 2010 with five million units to ship for launch day.
To quote: Microsoft is planning to manufacture 5m units for day one release, with a mix of console and camera plus solus SKUs expected.
The device should cost under £50 when sold solo. One publishing source says Microsoft is "trying to get as close as possible to 'impulse buy'". Another even says the camera could even retail for just £30.
14 games are being readied for launch. This summer Xbox studios boss Phil Spencer told MCV the 360 still 'hasn't peaked'.
"When Natal arrives it will feel like a new generation has come," he said. "I see it like the launch of 360 in November '05. Consumers don't want another $400 box right now."
