Performance Designed Products, LLC ("PDP") and Hasbro (NYSE:HAS) have agreed to a multi-year, international license agreement that will allow for the creation of a new line of video gaming accessories and products for popular gaming devices, iPods and cell phones.
"We are thrilled to enter into this agreement with PDP," said Mark Blecher, senior vice president and general manager of digital media and gaming at Hasbro. We have had a very successful relationship with PDP over the last three years and are looking to expand that success with this new deal."

250w ago - Headlines on other sites are reading: "Hackers decrypt retail PS3 HDD", "Retail PS3 HDD decrypted" and "UPDATE: We have confirmation that this decryption was done on a RETAIL PS3 (not Test/Debug)".
They are ALL wrong. We have looked into this over the past 24 hours extensively, and needless to say - our first suspicion was correct (which is why it was labeled as a rumor). Simply put - its a fake.
The files are real, but they were dumped from a TEST PS3 (old news), from its /dev_flash (Thanks NDT!) folder which is 100% accessable with a TEST.
Furthermore, the explanation of the "encryption" was all wrong (see my earlier post). On top of that, the real research done was 'borrowed' (to put it nicely) by DemonHades from the source... namely knightsolidus, who has been doing research with the PS3 HDD.
He made some interesting findings (hitting a similiar roadblock that we did, but we are now working together to try to get past it), however, currently...
251w ago - VP of Product Marketing Scott Steinberg has announced that Killzone 2 ads are making their way to both TV and PSN later today as follows:
I am confident this game will inspire many of you who've been waiting for the right time to buy a PS3. It is a true testament to what "Only on PlayStation" means.
We're excited the promise of Killzone 2 has been realized and has exceeded expectations due to the tireless efforts and dedication of Guerrilla Games. I can't thank the development team enough for remaining true to the vision and producing one of the most impressive games in recent memory - on any platform. The pre-order numbers only reinforce your great enthusiasm for the game and we're pleased the game reviews show the same.
A group of us flew out to meet with the development team in late 2008 for a product meeting - we had an idea for a fresh way to promote the game. It was to bring the incredible detail in Killzone 2 to life by showcasing the game's technology - only made possible by the power of the PS3.
The idea for the commercial centered on telling the story of war on Helghan - up close and very personal and to use the game's engine to show it. No voodoo,...
251w ago - PlayStation Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein shared the following "intel" via PS Blog today:
In the upcoming (just 12 days away!) Killzone 2, the ISA forces lead an assault of the planet Helghan. But that doesn't mean the Helghast are on the defensive. In fact, my intel tells me that the Helghast forces are en route to PlayStation Home today.
Fortunately, the Helghast won't be armed with STA-52 Light Assault Rifles (per se), but with demo codes for Killzone 2.
So if you don't already have access (by pre-ordering), just jump into Home tonight starting at about 6pm Pacific (9pm Eastern) and keep an eye out for the Helghast soldiers. When you find one, work up the courage and... just ask. If they've got any left, they'll direct message you with the demo key.
Then you can punch that code into the PlayStation Store (upper right corner), download the demo, and repay the Helghan emissary by... invading their planet. Oh well.
254w ago - Movie director Len Wisemen has revealed that he will be writing a Gears of War movie, and even has plans to make it into a trilogy.
To quote: Bloody-Disgusting.com recently caught up with Die Hard 4.0 director Len Wisemen at the premiere of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, a movie which Wiseman produced.
Speaking to the horror movie Web site, Wiseman revealed that he will be directing a Gears of War movie, which he is co-writing with Chris Morgan (Wanted, Fast and the Furious) and admitted he bought an Xbox 360 to play Gears of War.
"I suck at video games, it just takes me too long and I can't get the coordination of 'em. When I was on Die Hard, I had to choose some video game for the background in a scene with Kevin Smith.
I was shown about a dozen games and told to 'choose one to be in the background' and I said 'this one looks really, really cool whatever it is,' and it was Gears Of War," said Wiseman.
"I just really connected with it; the design of it the world, the whole thing. So I actually bought an Xbox 360 to start researching what it was."
