73w ago - Today Creative Lead Angel Gonzalez has posted up a fresh video on The Walking Dead video game spotlighting both Stealth and Scent for the PS3 entertainment system.
To quote: Picture this: you're moving through an abandoned convenience store in the middle of the day, and light is pouring in through the front windows.
The shelves have been ransacked and only a few items remain. You stop to investigate a roll of bandages on the shelf and, feeling these will come in handy later, you grab them and turn to leave.
A Walker grabs you and leans in for a taste of flesh! You struggle against his weight but can't quite fight him off. His rancid breath is thick in the air between you as his mouth opens for a bite.
Mustering all of your strength you push just hard enough to get a few inches of separation and then... You jam the blade of your knife through his temple and he slumps to the ground at your feet amid an explosion of blood and brain!
After taking a final look around, you see that no others Walkers realize you're there. You slip out of the store and continue toward your destination.
This is the world of The Walking Dead, a world where you can never feel safe because any moment may be your last. This is life, dealing with the constant threat of the...
75w ago - Telltale Games Manager of Public Relations and Social Media Alan Johnson has posted up a video today showcasing The Walking Dead Episode 2, Starved for Help, which hits PSN this Friday.
To quote: The Walking Dead, Telltale Games' continuing story of adventure horror based on Robert Kirkman's Eisner Award-winning comic book series, continues this week for PS3!
Episode Two - Starved for Help tears through flesh and bone and onto the PlayStation Network this Friday for $4.99 or will be available as a download from within the game's menu for existing season pass owners!
We're really excited to continue the story of Lee Everett; players will have to deal with the repercussions of the choices they made in Episode One and they'll be confronted by more difficult and sometimes gut-wrenching choices in Episode Two.
Remember, the decisions you make means that your story of The Walking Dead could be substantially different from someone else's - this is what we call 'tailored narrative'.
Our game engine has been tracking every choice players made in Episode One - A New Day. From course-altering life-and-death decisions...
75w ago - Housemarque Games Designer Petsku has announced that Dead Nation: Road of Devastation is getting an Arcade Expansion Pack today!
To quote: We're excited to announce a brand new game mode for Road of Devastation (the expansion pack to Dead Nation) called Arcade, which is a brand new way to experience Road of Devastation!
Everyone who's taken the Road knows of the Egogate experiment - to find the perfect zombie killer who can survive longest against ever-increasing odds (the fallen heroes' DNA are allegedly used to clone and breed the perfect soldier).
The new Arcade mode may actually see you survive the ordeal and get out alive! You can choose your difficulty level, and checkpoints will revive (or is that clone?) you.
Completing Arcade mode on different difficulty levels will also unlock new Road of Devastation concept art.
If you've never experienced Road of Devastation before, now's the perfect time! Think you've got what it takes to get out alive? Download Arcade mode today and find out!
84w ago - Writer and Designer Jake Rodkin at Telltale Games has confirmed today that The Walking Dead is now available on PlayStation Network and shared a Choice Matters video below.
To quote: Hey everyone! Hoping you're all enjoying the zombified fruits of our labor now that the first episode of The Walking Dead arrived just yesterday on PlayStation Network.
We're insanely busy already getting the next episode ready for all of you, but I wanted to pass along this sneak peek at a video that will help explain why all of the choices you make in the first episode will matter from episode to episode, and also all season long.
Sit back and watch as my good friend Harrison Pink explains how different each outcome can be for each individual player throughout the season.
There are more juicy The Walking Dead details to come, so stay tuned here and look (listen?) for me later this week on the Official PlayStation Blogcast!
On behalf of the whole team here at Telltale Games, thanks again for all of your support, and we hope you enjoy the first episode!
