inFamous 2 for PS3 in Development, Confirmed By Voice Actor

267w ago - Although Sucker Punch hasn't responded to this yet, it appears work is already underway on an inFamous sequel for Sony's PS3 console.

Speaking on his Twitter page, David Sullivan today [Register or Login to view links] (now removed) the existence of inFamous 2, with Cole being recast.

To quote: "First voiceover/motion capture audition today for a video game. Re-casting of Cole in the sequel of Infamous. "I'll melt your face."

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown (who voiced Moya) later [Register or Login to view links] to Sullivan, claiming he "would be awesome as Cole".

With voice-over auditions currently going on, the game won't be released or shown for quite some time. The question that will sit in the mind of gamers now will be when and where will Sony and Sucker Punch showoff the inFamous sequel.
 

Modern Warfare 2 Dynamic Themes & Midnight Launch Confirmed

269w ago - It appears that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be getting some dynamic themes for the PlayStation 3 along with a midnight launch.

Both GameStop and EB Games have confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will be available at midnight on November 10, 2009.

To quote: Robert Bowling, Director of Communications and Community Manager of Infinity Ward, confirms the new additions via his personal [Register or Login to view links]:

"Yes. The PS3 version of #MW2 will have trophies and rumble support and we even have some dynamic themes in the works for the PS3 XMB."

Good news indeed, whether you plan to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 this November!
 

PlayStation 3 250GB Bundle UK Retail Pricing Confirmed

269w ago - Last week Sony announced that several new PlayStation 3 250GB bundles will be hitting Europe, and today ElectronicTheatre (linked above) received confirmation on the UK retail pricing for them.

To quote: "The recently revealed 250GB PlayStation 3 will arrive in Europe this Thursday, October 1st 2009, and today the official UK Recommended Retail Price (RRP) and package contents have been revealed.

In addition to the FIFA 10 and Need for Speed SHIFT bundles announced last week, the 250 GB PlayStation 3 will be available as a stand alone unit from October 1st with an RRP of £299.99. The standard package comes bundled with a Wireless DUALSHOCK 3 Controller, an AC Power Cord (or Euro-AV cable, where applicable), an AV cable and a USB Cable, along with the new, small PlayStation 3 model.

Twelve of the fifteen retailers Electronic Theatre contact proposed their own bundles, or a reduced retail price of around £285. The 120GB PlayStation 3 retails with an RRP of £249.99 in the UK."
 

Ninja Gaiden 2 US Demo Release Date Confirmed for PS3

271w ago - Tecmo have confirmed that the demo for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be going live in North America next week on September 24, 2009.

The demo is due later this week on September 17th in Japan.

To quote: "In the demo you be able to play two scenario stages, one as Ryu, and the other with Ayane. You will also have a chance to play two co-op stages, again with access to Ryu and Ayane.

The character that you don't select is controlled by the CPU.

The demo has also been confirmed as being offline only, in the retail version you will be able to play co-op online."
 

Final Fantasy XIII Japanese Release Date and Bundle Confirmed

272w ago - It's official! Square Enix will release Final Fantasy XIII on December 17, 2009 in Japan, unless it decides not to between now and then.

To quote: "Square Enix president Yoichi Wada announced the release date and the price (8,800 yen, or $95!) today at its Final Fantasy XIII Party in the [Register or Login to view links] museum (via [Register or Login to view links]).

Kaz Hirai then took the stage to announce that of course there will be a PS3 hardware bundle containing the game.

He didn't mention any details - no price nor release date, though it's sure to be day-and-date with the standalone software. When Square Enix does show it off, it'll be hard not to hear about it."
