11w ago - Co-founder at No Goblin Dan Teasdale posted up a video today announcing that Roundabout is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms and confirmed the title will be playable at PS Experience.

To quote: Hey again, pals! I'm Dan Teasdale, and I'm one half of semi-new indie studio No Goblin. I'm super excited to announce that Panzer and I have been busy bringing Roundabout to both PS4 and PS Vita!

What's Roundabout? It's a '70s B-Movie game where you get to drive a constantly spinning limousine. As famed revolving limousine driver Georgio Manos, you'll drive around the open world of Roundabout picking up passengers, finding collectibles, competing in challenges, buying hats, and much more!

We're using a cutting edge next-gen technique called "full motion video" to recreate and render each passenger that rides in Georgio's limo with lifelike accuracy.

We're doing a ton of special stuff for the PS4 and PS Vita versions. We're remastering all of the FMV in high-bitrate 1080p to take advantage of the PS4′s horsepower! The PS Vita version is no slouch, either - in fact, it's the same full...

11w ago - Crusader at Versus Evil Georgina Verdon announced today that The Banner Saga, Toren, Kyn and Armikrog are coming to PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: If you haven't been hiding under a rock for the last 2-3 years, you'll have noticed that there's an underground movement in the world of video games: indies.

Versus Evil is an indie publisher who has been lucky enough to partner with several talented, passionate indie studios to help them launch their "babies" into the big, wide, rabid world of gamers. Yes, that's YOU lot! We are beyond excited to tell you about a few games that will be coming to the PS4 in early 2015. Each one is unique in its own right.

Armikrog

This is just a really weird way to make a game, but it works! From the original game creators of Earthworm Jim and the Neverhood, comes a point and click adventure...wait for it... stop motion clay animation video game (Try and say that 10 times quickly!).

Supported by a quirky but quite mesmerizing original soundtrack from Terry Taylor, Armikrog will throw you into a rich, colorful world packed with lovable oddball characters and a lot of toilet humor.

The Banner Saga

The quality bar has been set! With several awards already under its belt and a second...

Ackk Studios: Indie RPG Y2K is Coming to PS4 and PS Vita

50°
11w ago - ACKK STUDIOS LLC Co-director Andrew Allanson announced today that Indie RPG Y2K is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

Below are the details, to quote: Hey, readers! I'm Andrew Allanson, from AckkStudios. I'm here to tell you about a 3D, turn-based, Japanese-style RPG that we are developing for PS4 and PS Vita. The game is called Y2K.

Y2K is being developed by Brian & Andrew Allanson with Jose Alfaro, Ian Bailey, and Brigid Allanson. We unite under the name of AckkStudios LLC! Ackk is partnering with Ysbryd Games to ensure polish and funding for the game.

So, what's all this Y2K stuff about?

For those of you too young to remember, Y2K refers to the year 2000 problem. Basically, it was a coding bug that was projected to create havoc in computers and computer networks around the world at the beginning of the year 2000... a lot of people thought the world was going to end because of this. It was pretty crazy.

With that in mind, here are more specifics about the premise: When an erratically-behaving elevator claims the life of a young woman, unemployed recent college graduate Alex Eggleston takes to a primitive 1990s message-board to find answers about the death of this stranger. His quest for answers leads to more questions as his research points him to...

OriGaminc Announces Henka Twist Caper is Coming to PS4 in 2015

50°
11w ago - OriGaminc Developer Shawn Pierre announced today that Henka Twist Caper is coming to PS4 in 2015 with details below.

To quote: The digital world is a great place to play and experience games. But hey, let's not forget the physical space, which is certainly not without its charm. And sometimes, there are games that combine the two!

Well, today I want to share a game I've been working on which takes digital and physical, and combines them into a quirky play session. It's time to twist, turn, and move around your friends in Henka Twist Caper!

Henka Twist Caper brings play to the physical space with the help of PlayStation's unique controllers. Players take a controller, twist, turn, and position it until they find the correct, secret position for their controller. Once they find their position, the controller lights up.

Holding it in the correct position adds points to a player's meter. As one would expect, the first one to fill their meter wins. Of course, there's a catch. Players are allowed to interfere with each other. Which, in a race against others, makes all the difference.

So, let's say you're twisting, turning, and pointing your own controller, but then notice your arch rival's controller lighting up. You'll have to do your best to maintain your composure,...

Video: Alien Trap Games: Apotheon Coming to PS4 in January, 2015

200°
12w ago - Alien Trap Games Designer Jesse McGibney shared a PlayStation 4 video trailer today announcing that Apotheon is coming to PS4 in January, 2015.

To quote: A few months ago we were excited to announce our partnership with PlayStation and Sickhead games to bring our Greek Mythology inspired hack em' up Apotheon to PS4.

Now, we're even more excited because after a whole lot of optimizing, beta testing, bugfixing, and paperwork, Apotheon will finally be launching in January 2015 on the PlayStation 4!

We're just putting the last finishing touches on Apotheon, but soon enough you'll be fighting your way up Mount Olympus, Aspis in one hand, Xiphos in the other.

Speaking of Olympus, in our last post we talked a bit about the combat that is at the core of Apotheon. This time, let's shed some light onto the Mountain that makes up the game world itself.

Olympus is, as you're probably aware, the mythical home of the Greek Gods. But in Apotheon, all the Gods have abandoned earth (even the little ones that live in streams, trees, and rocks) and so Olympus has become a pretty crowded place, with Zeus playing host to a lot of displaced divine refugees.

Peaceful palaces have turned into bustling marketplaces, squatters have taken up residence in sewers, drunken...
