105w ago - Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray has announced today that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is coming to PSN on December 27, 2011 and a week earlier on the 21st in Europe.
To quote: We've been working on Stranger's Wrath, one way or another for around 15 months now. From the initial discussions, to actually starting work on the project true, to then getting it done!
As most of you may know we originally planned to release the game around Easter, to be able to do that we were to have started full development in September last year, but as it transpired, we didn't actually start until April 2011, which gave us our hoped late Summer release; but we ended up spending another couple of months on it, so here we are DONE AND DUSTED for release.
As such I'm extremely pleased to announce that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will release on December 27th in North America for $14.99. And we will be releasing worldwide! (all stores, except for the Far East/Russia/Ukraine and Portugal at this time).
We had planned on shipping with support for stereoscopic 3D and PlayStation Move and a few other little things, due to time limits we are not able to bring those features in this initial version. However we WILL be bringing them in an update in a couple...
108w ago - PS3 Game Designer Bernie Schulenburg at Die Gute Fabrik has announced today alongside a video trailer that Where Is My Heart is coming to PSN on November 16, 2011.
To quote: I'm a game designer at Die Gute Fabrik, a small Indie Studio based in Denmark. We are just about to release our debut on PlayStation Network minis (PS3 and PSP).
It's called "Where is my Heart?", and it's about a family of monsters lost in the woods. In the game you have help them find a way back to their home - a mysterious tree with a heart in its branches. The whole story is set in an 8-bit style environment made up of woods, mushroom caves, crystal rock pools, fern fringed creeks and waterfalls.
Nils, our artist, is going to talk more about the concept art and environment design of the game below. As for the game mechanics: the basics play just like a usual platform game, but the world is visually sliced into rectangular fragments (or panels) which are placed on the screen at unexpected locations.
With this game mechanic - the messed up way of representation - I attempted to evoke the sensation of being lost. On top of that, the visual slicing also allowed us to add further...

117w ago - Q-Games President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has revealed today alongside a video from TGS 2011 that PixelJunk Lifelike is now becoming PixelJunk 4am.
To quote: So here we are creeping up onto yet another Tokyo Game Show and we have a big announcement to make... and an unusual one at that!
We are announcing a name change - I'm sure many of you have seen information about PixelJunk Lifelike over the past year or so, including some live demo performances we did during E3, and a few of you might have noticed how much the core concept of Lifelike expanded and shifted since it was first announced as we explored more and more ideas.
Well, after long deliberation we are changing the name to "PixelJunk 4am" to better match the atmosphere we are trying to create. And for more information about that, I have asked some questions and translated Baiyon's answers for you:
Why the name change?
Baiyon: PixelJunk Lifelike was originally conceived as an extension of the PixelJunk Eden world. Our idea was to create a kind of living speaker for people to play their music through, using natural imagery and taking strong visual...
118w ago - Today 345 Games Creative Director Carlos Giffoni has announced that Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon is now live on PlayStation Network with details below.
To quote: Our new game, Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon, is live now on PSN and well worth checking out. It's got everything you could possibly want: co-op, zombies, demons, tons of weapons, RPG elements, hilariously rude and crude humor, and enough action to keep you going longer than a cockroach could survive a true apocalypse!
For those of you that haven't been following our development, Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon is a four-player, co-op, dual-analog arcade shooter (think Robotron on crack... with plenty of raving zombies and delinquent man-birds, of course).
What's really fantastic about the game is that we've been lucky enough to work extremely closely with the über-talented staff over at the Ugly Americans.
All of the voice actors from the show lent their talents to their characters, the writers created a completely new story for the game, and Devin Clark (animator and series creator) came up with all the character design including some insanely twisted end-level bosses.
As a result it really feels like you are playing...
