Dungeon Hunter Alliance Brings Epic Fantasy Journey to PS Vita

250°
148w ago - Today Ubisoft PR Specialist Alex Monney has outlined the epic fantasy journey that Dungeon Hunter Alliance brings to PS Vita.

To quote: Over the next week, Ubisoft will be profiling our upcoming portfolio of launch titles for the PlayStation Vita.

All these titles will be available a week prior to launch, giving gamers the opportunity to build up their library prior to the launch of this highly anticipated PlayStation handheld or experience the games early if you are picking up the First Edition bundle on February 15th. Let's kick off the week by stepping into the fantasy genre.

But first, a question for my fellow PSP launch owners. How much fun was exploring the fantasy world of Untold Legends? I remember going over to my friend's house to sit side-by-side as we tackled different dungeons. With Dungeon Hunter Alliance, we're bringing back that feeling of exploring a fantasy universe along with your friends.

You may already be familiar with the PS3 version of the game, but soon you'll be able to take the experience with you, exploring the depths of Gothicus, facing off against evil creatures, and enhancing your character while you're on the go.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance will also enable PS Vita owners to team up with up to three friends locally and via WiFi –...

162w ago - Creat Studios Marketing and PR Coordinator Bill Fryer has posted up a new video Pinballistik video below today that will bring Battle Pinball to PSN in November!

To quote: I wanted to stop by to tell you that Pinballistik is coming to the PlayStation Store on November 1st for only $3.99! Test your mettle in the non-stop action of battle pinball.

You can complete exciting features on your side of the table or try to get the ball past your opponent on the opposing side. We have something for those pinball purists out there too: Each of the uniquely themed battle tables has its own classic table.

Start the Pinballistik experience off with Circle the Wagons. Mosey on down to the saloon or pay a visit to the can-can dancers. Make sure to finish loading that revolver before your opponent, then take aim and FIRE! Pinball has never been this intense.

Pinballistik will launch with day-one DLC tables Sector X and Made of Money. This lets you pick and choose the tables you want to download. Don't worry about the price: each additional game pack is only $2.99.

Everyone at [Register or Login to view links] is incredibly excited to continue supporting PSN with the release of Pinballistik....

Video: WipEout 2048 Brings Birth of Anti-grav Racing to PS Vita

50°
171w ago - SCEE's James Gallagher has shared a video interview today discussing how the upcoming WipEout 2048 game brings fans the birth of anti-gravity racing to PS Vita.

To quote: The WipEout series is synonymous with PlayStation hardware launches and so there's a warm feeling of familiarity to knowing that WipEout 2048 is coming to PlayStation Vita during the launch window.

The game focuses on the birth of Anti-grav racing and the Liverpool Studio team is keen to focus on how the architecture of the futuristic city shapes both look and gameplay. I caught up with Graeme Ankers and Stuart Tilley out in the sunshine between presentations.

It's fantastic to see a new WipEout game on its way, particularly one that is looking to take the series in a new direction. We already know that it will support cross platform play allowing Vita and PS3 players to go head-to-head online and I've just learned that the soundtrack - a vital ingredient in the WipEout DNA - features new remixes of Underworld and Leftfield tracks from the original game, as well as a new track from Deadmau5. Can't wait!

RUIN Brings Social Action-RPGs to PS Vita and PlayStation 3

50°
181w ago - SCEA Senior Producer Travis Williams has shared details on RUIN today, which will be bringing Social Action-RPGs to both PS Vita and the PlayStation 3 console.

To quote: "I have a great idea for a game..." If you only knew how many times producers hear those words it would honestly amaze you.

We hear them all the time and we have to try our best to get excited about the words that follow that phrase. When we ([Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links]) stopped building PAIN expansions those words were music to my ears... Okay, what's next?

When I started working in games 20 years ago, I worked as an RPG designer/tester. So when we decided to make a social action-role-playing game you KNOW I was on board. When the decision was made to make it a PS Vita product I got even more excited.

Even among the nerds here in San Diego Studios I am branded nerdy. So making a game based in fantasy is right where I want to be. RUIN (Working Title) will be that fast-paced action-RPG that I have wanted to build since I first played old-school action-RPGs.

There will be some unique differences. Social networks and constant net connections make your victories (and losses) more public. The...
