Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept Hits June 24th, E3 Trailer Revealed

50°
7w ago - Guerrilla Community Manager Jeroen Roding announced that Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept hits PlayStation 4 on June 24th alongside an E3 PS4 reveal trailer video below!

To quote: Set up your turrets, ready your med supplies, take up your positions, and brace for an all-out Helghast assault - we've prepared a new E3 trailer of Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept for you, and it's chock full of action-packed online co-op goodness!

As we explained in our announcement post last month, Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept is all about team play. It's about you and three teammates fighting off wave after wave of AI-controlled Helghast attackers as you try to establish a communications Uplink to the VSA headquarters, with only your weapons and your unique Combat Role abilities to protect you.

Mastering your assigned Combat Role - Assault, Marksman, Medic or Tactician - is vital to your success, as you can probably tell from the trailer. For instance, a Tactician with a well-placed turret will be able to keep the enemy at bay and buy other team members precious time, while an attentive Marksman can spot flanking attempts and randomly spawned Petrusite capacitors for his team.

Those Petrusite capacitors, by the way, are...

Deep Silver Announces Dead Island 2 Coming to PS4, Beta Revealed

100°
7w ago - Deep Silver Creative Producer Jan-Eric Lauble announced today that Dead Island 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 with PS4 Beta details below!

To quote: Hello everyone! On behalf of Deep Silver, producer Carsten Lindner and I are extremely proud to announce Dead Island 2.

Right after the release of the original Dead Island, we started working to create a true sequel of our beloved franchise to bring the shared open world survival experience with its visceral close combat, amazing setting and the awesome four-player co-op to a whole new level.

After the first outbreak on Banoi in Dead Island 1, the world has moved on. Zombies are known and everyone feels safe and prepared. Companies are selling vaccines and the latest zombie survival kits and people believe that the disaster that occurred on a small island in the middle of nowhere could never happen to them.
But they were so WRONG!

Suddenly, a string of brutal outbreaks occur in California and the government puts a wall around the infected area - leaving California as a "Dead Island." Dead? Not entirely, because let's face it, a zombie apocalypse has its upsides as well: No boring job, no traffic jams, and no bills to pay.

This new zombie...

8w ago - Sony Senior Community Specialist Kristine Steimer announced that their E3 2014 application is live on PS4 and invites PlayStation 4 fans to download it now!

To quote: It's almost time for E3, arguably the gaming industry's biggest annual event. E3 is one of my favorite conferences of the year, but unfortunately it's not a show most of our fans can attend.

This year we thought we'd make it a little easier to get a taste of the experience with our new E3 2014 app on PS4.

Through this app you'll be able to watch our E3 press conference live from the comfort of your couch (or hammock, if you're really cool).

Once we've announced everything at the press conference and the show floor opens on June 10th at 12pm PDT, you'll be able to check out some screenshots and trailers of the games at our booth. You'll also see some other things we'll be unveiling, and an overview of our current and future services, like PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now.

This app isn't just for browsing though - you can also unlock some perks by using the app. To start, there are gold and silver challenges you can complete in the app that will grant you up to 250 Sony Rewards points - these points will be available...

Video: Just Add Water: Gravity Crash Ultra is Coming to PS Vita

50°
8w ago - Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray posted up a, E3 2014 trailer video today showcasing Gravity Crash Ultra for PS Vita below.

To quote: In late 2009, I nervously sent Just Add Water's first PlayStation game, [Register or Login to view links], to PlayStation for submission on PS3.

Back then, the indie resurgence had barely started, and the idea that our retro flashback was about to appear on a major console was scary. We had some decent innovations in there, from the easy-to-use level editor to the ability to share player-made levels via PSN.

The landscape for indie developers has changed massively since then, but the values of creativity and gameplay remain. This is what Gravity Crash stood for then, and it's still as relevant today.

Yes, the team at JAW has been very busy with another game from a rather well-loved PlayStation franchise, [Register or Login to view links], but we found the time and talent to give Gravity Crash the update we really felt it deserved.

Nearly five years on, our work porting [Register or Login to view links]...

To quote: Greetings, PlayStation folks! My name is Mark Nau, and I'm the Creative Director at Edge of Reality. We're the folks who made Loadout, a game about resolving your differences by blasting, burning, and/or exploding anybody who disagrees with you.

I know you PS4 fans are a pretty tight-knit community, but let's face it - once in a while, you're going to feel the need to shoot somebody's legs off, and I'm proud to announce that we're giving you billions of ways to do that.

In case you haven't already guessed from the blog title or that introduction, we're bringing Loadout as a console exclusive to PlayStation 4!
