117w ago - Retro City Rampage developer Brian Provinciano has posted up a video today of Retro City Rampage in action on PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: As I announced in the last blog post, Retro City Rampage is coming to PS3 and PS Vita! But today I bring more great news...

Recently in Toronto we held an amazing event called [Register or Login to view links] to promote and support Canadian indie game developers.

In attendance were us here at Vblank Entertainment, Drinkbox Studios (Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack), Queasy Games (Sound Shapes), ][ Games (Dyad) and more. It was a blast!

For me, the highlight was finally giving fans a chance to see and play the PS Vita version of Retro City Rampage for the first time. I've been going on for a while about how amazing it looks on the PS Vita, and now you can see what it looks like for yourself.

Those of you who are worried that the characters might be too small on the PS Vita screen needn't be! It supports two screen modes.

The standard mode designed specifically for the PS Vita scales everything up and ensures that the characters...

Video: See PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale in Action on PS3

121w ago - SuperBot Entertainment Game Director Omar Kendall has shared a video today showcasing PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale in action on the PS3 entertainment system!

To quote: Today marks a special day for us here at [Register or Login to view links], as we finally get to share our game with the world! PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale existed as an idea in the hearts of gamers way before SuperBot got around to making it, and the expectations of the fans are really what drive us.

This game is a labor of love, and we're excited to be able to finally show it - learn more in our new video interview above.

So what is PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale? First and foremost, it's a celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game.

And for us, there's no better way to celebrate than by creating an experience that players can sit around one screen and enjoy together.

There are probably a few types of games that can be enjoyed by four players simultaneously, but for us at SuperBot, a brawler was the obvious choice for one really good reason: the developers here at SuperBot really like fighting games

Fuel Overdose - Tactical Action Racing is Coming to PSN

129w ago - I-Friqiya Executive Producer Skander Djerbi has announced today that tactical action racing title Fuel Overdose is coming to PSN with details below.

To quote: My name is Skander Djerbi, I'm a member of [Register or Login to view links], a tiny indie team located in Tokyo and in charge of [Register or Login to view links].

In our team there is Ryo our graphic designer, Jerome our game designer/level designer/programmer, Hideyuki our character designer while Aroun and I are the producers of the game.

To cut a long story short, we used to work for big publishers and we decided to venture into indie game development in 2010 because we thought we could bring something new to the table; what we are bringing you is Fuel Overdose.

Our ambition with this game is to bring back retro, top-down combat racing, but with a twist; that's why we like to think of our project as a "Tactical Action-Racing" game.

Action

We are not inventing the combat racing genre - we played most of them on consoles and PC over the past 15-20 years, and it appeared very quickly during our first meetings that there was no point trying to develop a remake of these games.

But we also realized that there were some essential...

Video: Armored Core V Preps PS3 for Deep Multiplayer Action

134w ago - Namco Bandai Games Community Manager Rich Bantegui has shared some video footage today of Armored Core V prepping the PS3 community for some deep multiplayer action below!

To quote: [Register or Login to view links], developer of last fall's critically acclaimed Action-RPG Dark Souls, has been spreading bullets from mech-to-mech for nearly 15 years since the very first Armored Core premiered on the PSone back in 1997.

So needless to say, when it comes to intense metal-shredding action and hardcore strategy, the team at FromSoftware knows what they're doing... but will you?

[Register or Login to view links] hits consoles across North America on March 20th, and when it does, we at [Register or Login to view links] want everyone up to be up to speed on all of the ins and outs on what it will take to survive while piloting the Armored Cores (or "ACs") in the dusty, shrapnel-laden world full of limitless online gameplay possibilities.

I've been learning more and more from the team about Armored Core V over the last few months between bouts in [Register or Login to view links], and the sheer level of detail and customization here has put my jaw on the...

Video: Sumioni: Demon Arts for PS Vita Platforming Action Demo

100°
136w ago - Today XSEED Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz has posted up a video demonstrating the combination of classic Japanese Art and modern platforming action of Sumioni: Demon Arts for PS Vita consoles.

To quote: Before you stands a tower, and upon that tower stands an angry bowman, shooting wave upon wave of arrows in your direction. He's far out of reach, and the tower completely blocks your path, so you're forced to deal with this situation in order to proceed - but how do you go about it?

You could always hack at the tower's support structure with your sword, wearing it away bit by bit until the whole thing comes tumbling to the ground...but that might take a while, and the bowman would be shooting you in the head repeatedly the whole time.

Maybe you'd be better off taking out your paintbrush and drawing a sloped platform up, over and around the tower, creating a bridge to guide you past it safely. Or perhaps you could set the tower (and its occupant) ablaze, or spawn a lightning-spewing thundercloud above it and let Mother Nature handle the rest.

Or, if you're feeling particularly frisky, how about summoning a phoenix or a sacred lion and directing it to spew waves of holy energy at the tower, instantly reducing it and any threats beyond it to ashes?
