First PSP and PlayStation Home Connectivity Details Revealed?

100°
297w ago - According to a roughly translated Japanese Web page (linked above), it has been announced that Namco Bandai's PSP sim game The Idol Master SP will offer some kind of connectivity with PlayStation Home.

To quote: From what we can make out from the article, it seems that during your play-through of Idol Master SP you unlock "rewards" for use in Home.

It also looks as though Home will import avatars from Idol Master judging from the picture

This is a step in the right direction, and hopefully we will see a lot more PSP/Home integration in the future.

100°
298w ago - Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has shared some highlights of a recent media event at the Naughty Dog studios today as follows:

The very full day for our guests started off with getting them up to speed on UNCHARTED 2, covering background info on story, gameplay and technology such as:

•The historical mystery surrounding Marco Polo and his lost fleet, which serves as the foundation for our story.
• What's happened to Drake, since it's pretty obvious he's a bit scruffier, down on his luck and he's definitely running with way shadier people than before.
• Introducing everyone to Chloe Frazer, a sexy and impulsive Australian who is just this side of unpredictable and dangerous, not to mention Drake's new partner and romantic interest - can you blame him?
• Adding in what we're calling "action-stealth" to give you the choice to go in guns blazing or take out a few adversaries unnoticed before engaging the rest of them.
• Blending together our climbing and shooting into what we call "traversal gunplay" so you can now be in gun combat in the middle of climbing, swinging on a rope, hanging from a ledge or sign...you can shoot pretty much from anywhere, anytime you want.
• All the cool things the Naughty...

299w ago - Either Media Molecule are kicking itself right now or [Register or Login to view links] on its flickr page was placed in public view intentionally.

Either way, we now have a glimpse at some information regarding a few of LittleBigPlanet's upcoming cheese-based patches.

To quote: As you can see from the picture below there are some new details to be gleaned about Cornish Yarg. Namely, that it will include new tutorials and the much-anticipated online create mode, allowing you to create levels with friends over the PlayStation Network.

Two new patches have also been revealed. Jarlsberg promises to add something to do with "2000 AD." Related to an upcoming content pack, perhaps?

Finally, Stinking Bishop will be linked to an "Arcade Pack." What that will include, we have no idea. But we can't wait to find out.

Obviously this is all internal data which may or may not come to fruition. Hopefully we'll hear more in the near future.

Burnout Paradise Free Pack Details, Coming February 6, 2009

300°
300w ago - On February 6th, PS3 owners of Burnout Paradise will be able to download a free patch that adds a whole lot of content. To quote:

• In-Game Store (PS3/PC only) - An in-game browser will connect to the "Criterion Games Network." From here, you'll be able to see all the game's updates and purchase any of the upcoming premium DLC.
• Tweaked vehicle handling - The earlier cars are now tweaked to be easier for newcomers to use. "These cars are now slower, harder to crash and less likely to spin out at low speeds."
• Junkyard sorting - You'll be able to compare the stats of cars, and you'll be able to filter out cars, bikes, and upcoming DLC vehicles.
• Stunt Run timer changed - Stunt Run will now have a different timer that starts much slower than before. This allows beginners more wiggle room to start a combo. Experts will still be challenged: the larger your combo, the faster the timer runs out.
• Events rebalanced - All events have been modified to accommodate the new car speeds.
• Road Rage tweaked - Players no longer get additional time once they reach the target score. This is great, because we usually intentionally crash in order to end this mode.
• Enhanced visuals - In-game items, like billboards and smashes, are now easier to spot. The lighting has been tweaked...
