301w ago - Konami Online's Brandon Laurino shares with us today MGO SCENE expansion details for Sony's PS3 as follows:

Hello everyone - I'm excited to announce details of the new Metal Gear Online SCENE Expansion pack! Coming in March, there will be tons of new content to keep old and new players alike entertained: new maps, special characters, new gear, and of course a couple surprises.

First, I'm excited to announce that now, in order to make the SCENE Expansion more accessible, players will be able to use their PayPal account, along with their PlayStation Network Wallet, if they so choose, to purchase the SCENE Expansion.

For those players that want to get a head start on the action and pre-order SCENE through [Register or Login to view links]'s in-game shop or Konami's [Register or Login to view links], there's a special gift in store. Once the pre-order period starts, one week before the release date, all players who pre-order SCENE will receive a special "cardboard man" head gear for free. It should definitely provide ample cover for any bad hair day.

Now for the stuff I know you all are most excited about, the new maps and characters!

The first new map is Outer Outlet, an all new environment that takes place in a commercial...

Namco Bandai Reveals Noby Noby Boy Details, Hits PSN Thursday

400°
302w ago - Today Keita Takahashi of Namco Bandai Games describes the type of game Noby Noby Boy (releasing on PSN this Thursday, February 19) is. To quote:

Basically players can control and stretch Boy, the main character of the game. As players stretch Boy, the lengths to which he grows are uploaded to a persistent character known as Girl, who grows at the same rate as the combined length of all the players in the world.

Girl starts at Earth and expands around the solar system. When Girl reaches a new milestone in the solar system, new areas are unlocked as playable stages for everyone around the world.

One big question most people have asked is, "Why did you want to make such a game?" Seriously, I don't know. When I figure it out, I'll share it on this blog. In the meantime, please take a moment to watch this video.

Well, that's the best that I can do to explain the game, but I know people will still go, "Hmm..."

How come it's hard to explain, you ask? It's because I wanted to make a game that cannot be expressed by words in the first place. By making an undefined and ambitious game, I want the player's reaction to be something like, "I don't know why, but it's somehow interesting. I can't stop...

New Section 8 Game Details Available for PC and XBox 360

302w ago - As many of you have already heard, the conflict in the Frontier Colonies has become an ever-growing threat to the empire and its people.

This so-called "Arm of Orion" has already seized several imperial worlds, and has thus far gone unchallenged. This cannot stand.

The Arm's iron grip on New Madrid has been deemed the breaking point, and our time of action is at hand. At 0520 hours, your dropships will deploy from the Texas for the first assault on the planet. The 8th Armored will burn-in deep behind enemy lines and serve as the spearhead of our invasion forces.

You veterans know what is expected of you. There's a reason why they refer to the 8th Armored Infantry as "Section 8″ - let's not disappoint.

For you new recruits getting a first taste of combat, remember your training and it will serve you well. Your powered armor suits are second to none, and will take the brunt of any punishment the Arm dish out. Take care of it, because that suit is the only thing between you and everything else on the battlefield.

Loadout customization is key, so remember to outfit your suit with the right weapons and support gear for the mission. You will call on your expertise in using all forms of combat arms, including explosives, firearms, tactical gear and vehicles.

Video: New inFamous PS3 Details at NYC Press Event

50°
302w ago - Today Nate Fox of Sucker Punch Production covered a press event that took place last weekend in NYC, letting a huge slew of folks get their hands on inFamous. To quote:

On top of the three missions we showcased in the Neon District, players will finally have a chance to see some of the dark, broken down streets of the Warren neighborhood. It's a dangerous place ruled by the Dustmen gang. This squad of one-time homeless men now rule through the use of strong telekinetic powers.

Clothed in bits of trash, they're nearly invisible when hiding in the tangled alleys of the Warren. Strong in fight, their ranks are backed by huge superpowered comrades. Men outfitted in giant suits of torn metal and concrete, they crush police beneath their feet.

This past weekend players had a chance to fight these goliaths while defending the Empire City jail from the Dustmen siege. Walls will be smashed in, guard towers toppled and many thugs will get a lightening bolt to the face.

To help our hero Cole protect the jail, we've rolled out one of his new powers called Precision. Precision allows Cole to slow down time and zoom in on enemies. Perfect for hitting unsuspecting enemies at a distance.

We'll also be outfitting Cole with...

Rumor: God of War III for PlayStation 3 Details Leaked!

350°
302w ago - This GameFAQs [Register or Login to view links] claims to have info on God of War III from an upcoming Game Informer feature.

Official details are embargoed until this Friday, with a press event taking place for the game in LA last night.

This lot doesn't sound amazingly far-fetched, to be fair:

•Unlike God of War 1 and 2 where there are only 15 enemies on screen, there will now be around 50 this time.
•You can ride monsters like the Cyclops and "control".
•Kratos on the PS2 used 5,000 polygons, now he uses 20,000.
•They made the weapons "better" so it adds more variety. Like with a different weapon, you don't get just a couple different attacks, but a whole different play style.
•The lion gauntlets are called Cestus.
•Enemy AI's are a lot smarter. Some of the enemies will be "commanders" and control the other grunts.
•Enemies will look different, even if they're the same type. Like, even though the skeleton soldiers are in the same category, they will have varied looks, so it's not like everyone looks the same.
•More boss fights than GoW 1, but less than GoW 2.
•No multiplayer.
•Hades boss fight confirmed.
