- Show us one person who's not yet excited about Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and we'll shamelessly assume he or she is someone with a middling PC waiting for the console versions. For everyone else, Activision is giving us an early taste of the title with the release of a demo today.
The 728 MB demo (available now via FileFront
) gives players access to a full map (Valley) from the beta. If you happened to be in the beta and are already familiar with this map, it may still be worth checking out, as Splash Damage promises that it has undergone further balancing since then. This war zone is playable in both online and offline form with bots. For the best strategies in taking your skills online, be sure to read the official guide to Valley from the Quake Wars community site.
In addition to the demo, the team has also released finalized system requirements, so check those out as well.
While you're downloading that demo, you might want consider taking some time to read 1UP's preview. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars arrives on store shelves on September 28th in Europe and on October 2nd in North America.
