Sony European PSN Game Store Updates for October 3, 2012

100°
112w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team is here with the European PSN game and video updates today, as follows:

October begins and with it that no doubt means the beginning of a busy period in gaming for us all.

To set things in motion, Capcom's Resident Evil 6 headlines this week's ensemble. Return to the series for a new viral outbreak with Leon, Chris and new guy Jake Muller.

If infected people aren't your thing then maybe some intense fighting in Dead or Alive 5 will do the trick. With a returning cast of fan favourites joined by new faces Rig and Mila, have fun smashing your opponent off a snowy cliff or into a leaping tiger. Fun!

Also releasing today, and included for PS Plus subscribers is Sega's Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit. If the title hasn't piqued your interest then how about the story - you are Ash, a devil rabbit who's private photos have been leaked causing you to get angry. Very angry!

Other titles releasing this week include PSOne Import Tomba!, along with more Sega goodness - Nights intro Dreams now for PS3.

Enjoy this week's update. Check back next week for more.

Ringzero: Burn The Rope Sizzles Onto PlayStation Vita Next Week

200°
112w ago - Ringzero Game Studio General Manager Franck Blaevoet has announced today that Burn The Rope will be sizzling onto PlayStation Vita next week.

To quote: Hi everyone, I'm Franck from [Register or Login to view links] and I'm happy to announce the release of Burn the Rope for PS Vita on 10th October.

Burn the Rope is an original game where you must burn as much rope as possible at each level. To start burning the rope you simply tap the touch screen wherever there is rope. Once the rope starts burning you can control the flame by rotating the screen.

The flame always burns up and it will burn out if it runs out of rope. The speed at which the flame travels along the rope is determined by the angle of the rope.

You can also control the flame using the touch screen as well as rotating the Vita. You can even use the rear touch panel (so your fingers won't block the view).

You can also pinch on the rear touch pad to zoom in or zoom out the view. This can help if you have really big fingers or are all thumbs J. Oh, it also helps if you want to be more precise in starting the flame.

As you progress through the levels, you will encounter bugs crawling along the rope. Different bugs react differently to the flame, but we are...

113w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN Game Store updates today, as follows:

Seems like this will be a busy week for gamers, for sure!

We have FIFA 13, Tokyo Jungle and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD, all arriving this week! And that's just some of this week's picks.

Liberty City is calling! Grand Theft Auto III, the revolutionary open-world epic from Rockstar Games that set players loose as a small-time criminal at the bottom of the food chain, is available from the PlayStation Store from this week.

Originally released in 2001 to universal acclaim, Grand Theft Auto III rewrote the possibilities for freedom and action in a living, breathing three dimensional metropolis where anything can happen - and probably will.

Elsewhere, Final Fantasy III releases on PSP this week. See where the series' popular job system first appeared in an updated version of one of the earlier games in Square Enix's much-loved RPG franchise.

Speaking of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC is on sale, too. See the store for the various DLC pieces and the discounts applied.

Oh, and a big shout out for Konami's excellent New Little King's Story, which arrives on Vita. Look out for more information...

Comcept: Soul Sacrifice for PS Vita Takes Tokyo Game Show

100°
114w ago - Comcept Founder Keiji Inafune has announced today that Soul Sacrifice for PS Vita is taking the Tokyo Game Show this year!

To quote: I'm excited that those of you who are attending Tokyo Game Show will finally be able to have some hands-on experience with Soul Sacrifice!

Once you play the game, I'm sure that you'll have a better sense of the world I've been wanting to create.

You'll be able to face the dilemmas, tough decisions, and the agony of choice that I've been wanting to portray in a game. I believe the TGS demo does a great job of conveying this new concept.

In the trailers and interviews released so far, we've shown the game's dark world setting and shared some of the story elements revealed in the single player mode.

We've also shared a few of the back stories from both the monsters and sorcerers that you'll encounter during gameplay. During TGS, I'm looking forward to showing you what the multiplayer mode can offer.

"Truly cooperate with allies" - I've explained the concept behind the multiplayer mode in the past, but I'm sure you'll gain a full understanding after playing through this TGS demo. You will experience trusting in your friends, being double-crossed or double crossing, and you will realize...
