277w ago - Insomniac Games Community Manager Bryan Intihar announced news today of some free Resistance 2 Multiplayer Skins hitting the PlayStation Store.

To quote: Dr. Malikov and The Grims didn't just have a part in Resistance 2's campaign–you could also assume the role of these characters on the game's competitive multiplayer battlefields. Well, that's if you pre-ordered R2 at select U.S. retailers and received one of the bonus multiplayer skins.

Over the last few months we've received a number of e-mails from Resistance fans here and around the globe requesting these exclusive skins. So starting today both will be available for download through the PlayStation Store in all territories for free!

And speaking of adding to your Resistance collection, we've also seen quite a few franchise-related items come out since R2's release. Here's a quick refresher for you:

•The comic book series: Wildstorm (a division of DC Comics) has published a six-part miniseries that revealed all-new details about the Resistance universe, which included an in-depth look at the Sentinels and touched upon aspects of the Retribution storyline. Issue #6 just hit store shelves last week.

•The novel: Ever wonder what exactly happened during the two-year gap that separates...

278w ago - Freestyle Skier Sarah Burke introduced the next LittleBigPlanet 'The Patch' video via PlayStation Blog today, as follows:

Hi there, I'm [Register or Login to view links] and I'm a professional skier. When I was at the X Games this year, I met up with some of the folks from Sony to work on creating my very own level for LittleBigPlanet.

I had played plenty of video games before, but never had a hand in design which made me super nervous. Lucky for me the Sony peeps made it super easy.

They first showed me a few of the levels of LittleBigPlanet that were already made, so I got a good idea of the feel of the game. Then we just started talking and brainstorming to flush out an overall concept for the level.

We fiddled around with the different looks of the character, the car and the surfing. I told Mark lots of details of what I liked about X Games, how slopestyle was an event this year and how I loved to surf almost as much as I love to ski.

What I thought was most appropriate – and most fun, since the kids playing it would actually be at X Games – was a level about my trip to [Register or Login to view links], what I hoped to achieve while in Aspen, and the reward I would...

279w ago - PlayStation Network Marketing Manager Megan Ybarra shared the following news today via PS Blog:

Hey everyone, starting today you can download the exclusive "Chamber" apartment for free in PlayStation Home. Nope, that's not a misprint.

This interactive space comes complete with fire pits, waterfalls and a giant tree that's more alive than you might expect. But make sure to come into Home and download your apartment now, because after May 21st, this premium personal apartment disappears from the housing market forever.

One last thing before we go. We've created a new video for Home and we'd love for you to check it out and let us know what you think. We hope you like it!
