CI Games: Lords of the Fallen on PS4: A Challenge Worth Facing

50°
18w ago - CI Games Executive Producer Tomasz Gop shared details today on CI Lords of the Fallen for PS4 who states it's a challenge worth facing!

To quote: I've seen my share of challenging games, and I loved a whole lot of them. And honestly speaking, I could never put up with so many people that quit playing them early.

But I've come around full circle to the point where I don't see their impatience as a shortcoming anymore. There's room for improvement in game design. And I believe that the team behind Lords of the Fallen on PS4 is after something that will narrow the gap between mainstream and core players. One bit at a time, that is.

First things first: we decided that if there's a main feature of Lords of the Fallen that will be complex and challenging, the rest should be more or less streamlined.

I'm not trying to say that we dumbed down anything. Take books written by Dan Brown or Harlan Coben, for example; they're not deprived of any intellectual value. They've been skillfully written for the mainstream audience, so... why not games?

Lords of the Fallen will try to tell a story without imposing it. You won't have to remember that the Fallen God's name is Adyr to face him. You won't have to memorize the names of crucial NPCs to follow their plots. But...

Zombie Studios: New Blacklight: Retribution Map Out Today on PS4

50°
18w ago - Zombie Studios Producer Kael Hammond confirmed that the new Blacklight: Retribution PS4 Map is officially out today on PlayStation 4!

Below are the details, to quote: Hey Blacklight: Retribution fans, Zombie Studios is releasing the Seaport map today on PS4! Seaport is designed to bring players into the fight quickly with two major avenues of attack.

If you find yourself pinned down, plenty of smaller side paths and routes cut through the port's warehouses. Good use of HRV is critical, since the opposition can take you by surprise quickly if you let your guard down - watch your teammates' backs.

The industrial port setting means there's verticality to the map you need to keep in mind to be competitive. Check the walkways and roofs as you advance or you'll just be GP in someone else's wallet.

Map releases are a cause for celebration here at Zombie, and we love to include our players in the festivities. It's been a while since we've had a double XP weekend, and this is a perfect excuse. That's right: new map and double XP.

While we've got everyone's attention, lets touch on some popular questions Zombie has been receiving:

• "When is beta over?"
• "Are you guys doing anything with GP pricing?"

Here's...

Video: New Evolve Interactive PlayStation 4 Trailer is Revealed

50°
18w ago - 2K Executive Producer Denby Grace posted up a video today revealing the new evolve interactive PlayStation 4 trailer below.

To quote: We're very excited to share a complete match of Evolve with the world for the first time.

We've done something pretty cool with this trailer by allowing viewers to switch between the feed of any of our four hunters or the monster.

We've also included a sixth channel to watch along with some great commentary from Aaron "Ayesee" Chambers and Chris Ashton, the co-founder and design director at Turtle Rock Studios.

The concept of four hunters taking on one giant, evolving monster really sets Evolve apart from other games. This trailer does a great job of demonstrating just how unique each role is, and we're excited for gamers to start getting an idea of which side of the 4v1 battle they want to be on, keeping in mind that there's going to be even more hunters and monsters to choose from when Evolve ships this fall.

In this trailer, you get a look at the first four hunters in Evolve: Val the Medic, Griffin the Trapper, Markov the Assault, and Hank the Support. Each hunter plays a unique role in the fight, and each of them has unique weapons and...
