286w ago - We already knew it was coming, but amongst yesterday's MS/Acti marketing leaks were some further details on the upcoming Marvel: Ultimate Alliance II.
The game will be set during Marvel's recent "Civil War" story arc, with players forced to choose sides in the conflict.
There'll supposedly be "over 20" playable Marvel characters, including the Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Venom and the Human Torch, and players will be able to "fuse" two character's powers together to give one character hybrid abilities.
The release mentions the game will be appearing on 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP & DS.
286w ago - An anonymous industry source has decided to set a few things straight about an earlier report that stated Sony was working on a new PS3 controller that can "break apart into two separate units, each of which contains an accelerometer for Wiimote-like motion-sensing functionality."
The source stated: The control system actually consists of a smaller-sized device that can attach to the body - and multiple devices are intended to be used in concert, such as wearing two on the hands to move a character's hands in-game, or four, on hands and feet at the same time to move a character's body.
To quote: Though the source admits the technology might have evolved since the last time it was seen, the source disputes the idea that any of these pieces merge to form a single controller.
It is also unclear how the individual pieces will be packaged, whether individually or in sets.
287w ago - NeoCrisis Staff Member Ryan was able to get a few details about God of War 3 as follows:
The graphics will be insane! It will feel like the game is real, or well really happening. The graphics will go well with the gameplay, the grapics wont take the attention away from the action. One word... amazing.
The gameplay will be like no other God of War game. I heard that it will have a new fighting system. I've also heard of a free roam option in a few places but it's not confirmed, in other words if they run out of money, no free roam.
It will have a new storyline, whole new missions. Might have about 5 or 6 parts (depends on the storyline) and each part will have 5 acts (like Gears of War 2). They might allow you to play as multiple main characters. Unlike the other God of War games the final boss/bosses will be way harder if the storyline is easy.
They might allow you to cuztomize your chracter and create custom weapons. They might have the basic team deathmatch and other game modes. Really fun!
Great online help (Staff, administration etc.)
290w ago - This is a direct translation from the original Japanese Famitsu article linked above. Siren: New Translation is the Japanese release title for the game available in Japan on 7/24 this year for 5980 yen. Siren: Blood Curse will be the US release title.
-Those that weaved the nightmare:
The "Siren" series has always been based on various Japanese cultures and folklores. The base concept for this new game is "looking in from a different cultural perspective", with new characters giving the first game of the series a new translation. This is a introduction to two of those new characters that will appear in the game.
August 3, 2007. An American television crew has suddenly lost contact while covering their story in the deep mountains of Japan. The well-beings of the missing crew are still unknown. Up until the crew completely lost their contact, they were reporting on "found traces of human sacrifice" in the remains of a village which supposedly was wiped out by a land-slide in 1976. The name of that village was Hanyuda...
