PlayStation Network Video Content Update for April 3, 2009

100°
282w ago - A rainy Friday is here, and with the weekend approaching comes PlayStation Store Senior Manager Grace Chen with this weekend's PlayStation Network Video Content Update as follows:

By now, you've heard about the latest PS3 Firmware update (v2.70) that allows you to backup the movies and TV shows you purchase from PlayStation Store to an external storage device, so you can make room on your hard drive and restore the videos any time in the future.

Also, the videos you purchase for the PSP can now be transferred to the PS3 for playback.

Here are this week's updates to the video store. We also wanted to share with you a short clip from [Register or Login to view links], which debuts on [Register or Login to view links] next Thursday, April 9. It will be available for purchase on PlayStation Store the following day.

Saddle up with reluctant hero Krod Mandoon and his band of inept freedom fighters as they battle an evil warlord–and their own incompetence–in Comedy Central's epically outrageous fantasy series.

This week we've added the following...

Video: New Wii Exploit? Run Custom Code on an UnModded Wii

400°
282w ago - Below is a video titled 'BaNNeRBoMB' by TheRealTracePillars via YouTube, and according to it a new Wii exploit has been found in the system menu allowing you to run custom code on an unmodified Wii console.

To quote: Alright, sorry about the crappy quality but I didn't want to use my capture card because people would call it fake and stuff like that.

This is a PREVIEW of an exploit in the system menu that comex found that will let us run custom code on an UN MODDED WII, which means we can basically set up homebrew on a wii without Twilight Princess, or even a dvd drive. It's just a channel on an SD card.

Currently it is just set up to load the HBC but more will come soon. All of the credit goes to comex for this, I just tested it and filmed the video.

Video: Insomniac 'MegaCorp' Recruitment Videos Available

50°
282w ago - Here are a few humerous videos today courtesy of Insomniac Games Community Manager Bryan Intihar via PS Blog:

A fully-stocked kitchen, on-site massage therapist, free cruise to the Bahamas–apparently, those kinds of employee perks weren't enough for Chris Stathis, the star of last year's "[Register or Login to view links]" video, to stick around at [Register or Login to view links].

But even though Chris has moved on, he's still our friend. In fact, we decided to check in with him at his new gig, MegaCorp, to see how it compared to his time here.

So if you're like Chris' new... err, old MegaCorp coworker and want to join Insomniac Games, head to the section labeled [Register or Login to view links] on our Web site. We have a number of positions available in both our Burbank and North Carolina studio.
