Video: Homefront Teaser Trailer for PS3/XBox 360 is Available

200°
284w ago - Due out for both the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's XBox 360, many are hoping Homefront will live up to the '80s film, hinged on fears of nuclear war, Red Dawn.

According to JoyStiq, it's a similar premise (and the same writer) that holds together the trailer, peppered with "Resist!" signs and talk of an occupied United States.

To quote: Considering the game's coming from the same studio that developed Frontlines: Fuel of War, you can appreciate that we're a bit trepidacious when approaching another FPS in Homefront.

Still, it remains to be seen whether or not Kaos Studios can pull out the big, anti-occupational guns this time around, so we're remaining cautiously hopeful for Homefront.

Video: Galaxii Overflow Nintendo Wii Exploit Preview

50°
284w ago - Today hetoan2 has just released a preview video of his new Nintendo Wii Galaxii Overflow exploit.

To quote: This new wii exploit allows code to be executed by the game. I showed this before loading a level in an earlier video.

Now I have a code that loads a boot.elf from the root of the SD card. This is done by an anomaly in the game which has the game storing data in a buffer area, the data overflows and overwrites adjacent memory.

In this case It allows a modified save to run code, unfortunately, playing on this save file can easily mess with the code due to where the code is loaded from.

The exploit is also very dangerous as turning off during the underlying NAND processes can cause bricks. The only way to get the code to execute is to preform the glitch. It's not easy to do.

Once this is perfected so that it is easier to do and is safer it will be released. Until then enjoy.

Video: E3 2009 on the Show Floor: Soulcalibur Broken Destiny

100°
284w ago - Sony's Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared an E3 2009 Soulcalibur Broken Destiny video today, which was taken 'behind closed doors' from the show floor.

To quote: Well, technically it was behind closed doors on the show floor (PSB = VIP!).

Technicalities aside, we were lucky enough to get some private time with Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny Director Noriyuki Hiyama to talk about the first PSP version of Soulcalibur.

And perfect timing it was, considering Kratos was announced as a playable character at E3.

So here, Mr. Hiyama goes in depth on Kratos, including some background on the God of War star's inclusion as well as details regarding his brutal fighting style.
