50°
291w ago - Today Q-Games Ltd. President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert announced news of a PixelJunk 1-4 naming contest and shared a trailer as follows:

Big big news today! We are releasing the first screenshots and video of the next PixelJunk game! For those of you who have been following my page on [Register or Login to view links] which has been slowly teasing you since last week, this is the day you've all been waiting for!

And... to top it all we are also launching a naming competition! Yes, you heard it right, instead of choosing the name ourselves for PixelJunk 1-4 we would like YOU to name the game for us.

This is for those real PixelJunk fans out there, because your name will go into the credits of the game and be immortalized for all eternity (or for a few years at least).

Anyway, first things first, go to the site and look at the concept art, watch the work-in-progress video, and think up a name: [Register or Login to view links]

It's looking pretty nice so far we think. We've implemented a fluid simulation sandbox with lots of different fluids and interactions and it's simply a lot of fun...

292w ago - Today U.S. Producer Josh Miller unveiled some new Trash Panic PS3 screens and details as follows via PlayStation Blog:

Happy [Register or Login to view links] 2009! I'm Josh Miller, the US Producer of the upcoming PS3 PSN downloadable exclusive, Trash Panic.

In celebration of Earth Day 2009, I wanted to talk to you about Trash Panic and give you the low-down on what to be excited about this Spring. As I'm sure you heard, we are giving new meaning to waste management with a brand new puzzle game that combines strategy and action with well...garbage. Here, players are tasked with having to compact as much garbage into a trash can before it overflows AND in the most eco-friendly way as much as possible!

Trash Panic definitely provides a new take on gaming while making players more aware of environmentally friendly ways to dispose of waste.

Throughout each stage, random trash items will be delivered to players who will need to manipulate the speed and direction they fall using the DualShock 3 controller. The trash can will quickly reach full capacity unless the trash is broken down or dealt with by strategically using various elements given throughout each stage.

Items will continue to be dropped until the player successfully compacts a certain number...
