276w ago - Today Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell shared an Assassin's Creed 2 E3 2009 Q&A interview video via PlayStation Blog.

To quote: Assassin's Creed 2 made a killer showing at the PlayStation E3 2009 Press Conference this Tuesday, debuting a brand new demo that showed off a short assassination mission.

There's a ton of new stuff in this sequel – including Venice as a setting, a new combat system and mission structure, all played through an all-new character named Ezio – so Jeff and I stopped by Ubi's booth for a special behind-closed-doors look at AC2. Watch as Ubisoft Montreal designer Mathieu Gagnon takes us through the demo explaining everything at Ezio's disposal.

PixelJunk Shooter PS3 Details & E3 2009 Trailer Video Available

276w ago - Q-Games Ltd. President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert has unveiled some new PixelJunk Shooter PS3 details and an E3 2009 trailer video today, as follows:

In true PixelJunk fashion we have made the game co-op, so get a friend around, grab an extra controller and anyone can just dive right on in.

We've tried to make co-op as de-stressed as possible, so even if your player's ship gets hit by something or overheats and starts crashing towards the ground, you can pop out your extendible hook thing (no official name for this yet - "Grabber" perhaps?) and grab your friend (he's a bit heavy tho, so watch out), then you can carry him to the nearest pool of water and dunk him in to restore his health. If you don't manage to grab him in time, he'll just re-spawn near you and you'll be docked a life.

The game is an old-school shooter at heart (hence the name), it is the PixelJunk take on those old retro shooting games such as Defender, with a little bit of Choplifter and Thrust! thrown in for good measure. We have giant bosses for you to fight against, multiple weapons to pick up and try out, shields you can grab, all kinds of stuff to give people with an itchy trigger finger a lot of fun.

However, at the same time...

E3 2009: Heavy Rain PS3 Gameplay Video Available

276w ago - David Cage, boss of Quantic Dream, came in person to E3 to unveil a brand new sequence of Heavy Rain.

We meet again with Madison, the pretty girl-cop we first saw barely escaping the grasp of a serial killer in the taxidermist scene, now on a mission in a crowded nightclub.

In an attempt to approach the owner, the young lady has to fix her truck driver look to something a tad more feminine. Surprise, it is you, the player, that's in charge of blushing her cheeks in the ladies room...

276w ago - Since GT PSP was announced yesterday, we haven't really gotten a good look at what this big, little game actually plays like.

Sure, the first [Register or Login to view links] are impressive - but to see it running at a full 60fps is a completely different story...

Although the driving skills (as usual) leave something to be desired, you've not seen Trial Mountain look this good since Gran Turismo 4.
