163w ago - Capcom's Shawn Baxter has shared some new video footage today from this year's E3 Expo of Street Fighter X Tekken for the PS3 entertainment system.

To quote: Street Fighter X Tekken (by the way, the "X" is pronounced "cross") might just have been the busiest game of Capcom's E3 booth.

[Register or Login to view links] has a little something for [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] fans alike.

Our E3 build had playable characters including Ryu, Ken, Guile, Abel, Sagat, Cammy, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter as well as Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, Hwoarang, Julia and Bob from Tekken (with plenty more to be revealed soon!).

Capcom's own Wes Phillips swung by to do a live demo at PlayStation's E3 livestream. Wes also discusses special guest Cole from inFAMOUS, our exclusive bonuses for the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken!

During E3, top fighting pros and newcomers alike stormed our E3 booth for hours of furious fights, leading to tons of feedback. It's a blast to jump right into Street Fighter X Tekken and start exploring, but the mechanics we've shown are far from complete....

Video: Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PS3 from E3 2011

163w ago - Eidos Montreal Community Manager Kyle Stallock has posted up some new video footage of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PS3 today from this year's E3 convention.

To quote: Demoing a game like Deus Ex: HR isn't easy, but it also isn't boring. As you can see in the video, sometimes our strategies don't go as planned, so we must improvise and adapt.

Adam, the man behind the controller (who coincidentally shares a first name with the game's protagonist Adam Jensen), does just that by showing viewers multiple solutions to potential problems. Would you have played differently than Adam? Let us know below.

If you enjoyed hearing someone from Eidos-Montreal answer user-submitted questions, I recommend heading over to our [Register or Login to view links].

There, members of the dev team, including myself, game director Jean-Francois Dugas, and more, read and respond to users. No question is too crazy, or too boring, so flood our inbox!

As always, thank you for your continued support. We all appreciate the comments, criticisms, and general interest, whether it's positive OR negative, we've received. And I'd like to personally say it's truly a pleasure to be the community manager for such...

First Glimpse of Aliens: Colonial Marines on PS3 from E3 2011

50°
163w ago - Sony's Latin America Blog Manager Lorenzo Grajales has unveiled the first glimpse of Aliens: Colonial Marines on PS3 from E3 2011.

To quote: During E3 2011, I entered a gloomy room and found myself before Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford. He was there to show off Aliens: Colonial Marines, the upcoming first-person shooter that's scheduled to hit the PS3 in 2012.

When you hear a developer talk about his game with the passion Pitchford demonstrated, you know the studio is on the right track. Gearbox Software is packed with fans of the Aliens films; seeing the game in action, it shows.

The demo starts with the crash of the U.S.S. Sulaco, the high-tech marine vessel from the second film. You wake up to find yourself in a nightmare, surrounded by xenomorphs with no idea about what is happening. But you're not alone – you'll have a group of highly trained marines at your side wielding state-of-the-art military technology, from the iconic pulse rifle and flamethrower to the pulverizing smart gun.

During his presentation, Pitchford assured us that this is the real sequel to Aliens and everything indicates that this is so, from the Marines' tools (including motion trackers) to the automatic turrets that we saw on the special edition of Aliens; they are all here. The...

Scogger HD PlayStation 3 Homebrew Game is Now Available

250°
163w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer Scognito has released what he calls Scogger HD, a PS3 homebrew version of the popular Frogger video game.

Download: [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links] / [Register or Login to view links]

From his site: New graphics for my latest console: PlayStation 3! Rules of the game are the same as other ports: frog can jump forward, left, right (not backward) and the goal is to jump over all the leaf of the level.

There are 10 levels, out of 100 random ones

Controls:

• Move the frog with arrow keys
• Restart level with Circle button

Scogger 0.1 for PS3 Changelog:

• First and last version
• New fantastic graphics in HD thanks to SpriteAttack!

Thanks to SDL library I ported the original game on PC in a breeze, then I started changing every single image, add some sort of animation and writing some sort of animation code, tweaking with frames, rewrite menu code, polishing the trash code... so I did 90% of the work PC side. Porting it over on PS3 was (almost) straightforward.
