303w ago - With the Killzone 2 Beta coming to a close this Sunday, we've got one more video up our sleeves to show you, this time taking a look at the many weapons available in the game.

Keep in mind, Guerrilla Games has yet to reveal all the weapons that will be available in the final game, so expect a few more surprises over the next few months.

The video below features guns from the beta, showcasing such weapons as the ISA M4 Revolver, ISA M82-G Assault Rifle, and ISA M13 Semi-automatic Combat Shotgun. Also included in the footage are some scene of environmental destructibility, displaying crumbling concrete columns and more. However the video is not very well synced with the audio.

Killzone 2 is due out in February 2009.

We Want Free Weapons for Battlefield: Bad Company!

50°
336w ago - When the Multiplayer Beta launched a couple of weeks ago, early adopters of the download were greeted with some daunting news if they went fishing through Bad Company's list of weapons.

It appeared as though Electronic Arts -- as they've done in the past with such games as NCAA Football -- would be charging for components of Battlefield: Bad Company that should be free, and would have been last generation.

The early peek into the beta showed five weapons that needed to be purchased via Xbox Live Marketplace. The outcry from the public was feverish.

Luckily their shrieks of horror did not fall on deaf ears. No weapons - we repeat: NO WEAPONS - will have a price tag attached to them.

We sat down for a talk with Karl-Magnus Troedsson, Senior Producer at DICE working on Battlefield: Bad Company, to get the final word on exactly what users will find in both the standard edition for Battlefield: Bad Company as well as the Gold Edition, and how all that works into the wonderful world of microtransactions.

363w ago - An article over at WIRED has some pretty interesting information on how the weapons of Halo are actually based on real life weapons and ideas!

I wonder if in 2035 the US army will be made up of Master Chief spartan warriors??!
