97w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited Content Producer Katy Macdonald has posted up a new game trailer video from E3 2012 of Watch Dogs for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system today!

To quote: It's the second day of the show and both halls are PACKED with excited gamers dying to get their hands on a ton of fantastic games.

We started the second day at the Ubisoft booth, where fans were playing incredible titles such as Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3 for the first time. The title that's got everyone talking though, is Watch Dogs - check out the announcement trailer below.

Elsewhere, we found an exhibition celebrating video game art, with some amazing concepts from various contributors. Atmospheric imagery from The Last of Us, WipEout 2048 and Journey provided the backdrop in a soothing space away from the manic main halls.

Refreshed, we headed over to Activision's gigantic booth to sneak a look at the mighty Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. First impressions? It was ear-splitting, as we witnessed drone attacks, a frantic freeway escape...

Video: Zen Studios Unveil KickBeat, PS Vita Music Combat Game

99w ago - Zen Studios Creative Director Neil Sorens has officially introduced PS Vita music combat game KickBeat today alongside a debut video trailer below!

To quote: Hello, PlayStation fans! I'm very excited to tell you about our new game: KickBeat.

It's a music game; it just doesn't look like one. Check it out, and then after the jump I'll tell you about how it works and some of the development history.

Music games have a long tradition of innovation. From the peripheral-based games like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution to controller-based ones like Frequency and Patapon, these games allow us to experience music in new and often unexpected ways.

KickBeat follows in the tradition of this type of music game. Although its beat-matching mechanic is not complex and will be familiar to fans of the music game genre, KickBeat does a couple things that make it different from anything else you've played...

And with publishers afraid to do anything except sequels to dance games, what better time than now to give the genre a kick in the pants?

103w ago - Plastic Studios Game Director Michal Staniszewski has made available a video today unveiling the PlayStation Move mystery game Datura, which hits PSN on May 8th 2012.

To quote: Hello, I'm Michal from Team Plastic and we are really happy to bring you Datura, which we can confirm today is coming to PSN on May 8th.

Datura is a spicy mixture between an old-school adventure and a modern interactive experience. The game has a couple of interpretation levels, so it's up to you to experience it on your own and share your thoughts afterward with others.

From a technical standpoint, Datura brings you a novel gaming mechanics based on the PlayStation Move motion controller. We created a virtual hand that you can operate and touch nearly everything in the game.

If you don't have a motion controller, you can still play with a DualShock 3 controller. For an even greater experience, Datura also fully supports stereoscopic 3D.

The game was designed to have a film like narrative and we encourage you to play through it in one session to really experience as one. We are excited about releasing it and will be happy to read your reactions afterwards.

Video: Sony Game Creator Reveals the Secrets of PSN's Dyad

50°
104w ago - Today Sony game creator Shawn McGrath has revealed the secrets of PSN's Dyad to fans as part of a new video trailer below.

To quote: Last week in New York City I was fortunate enough to show off Dyad, the almost-ready-done-really-soon-I-promise game coming to PSN for PS3. During our NYC showcase, the crew was kind enough to stop by and conduct a quick Q&A and gameplay session, and you can watch the results in this new original video.

Each of the game's 27 different levels touch upon a variety of mechanics and goals: forming long combos, racing, surviving as long as possible, hitting certain top speeds and more.

And the game's 26 special Trophy levels have challenging alternate goals, whether it's playing just by using sound or collecting objects as quickly as possible.

Since each level has a corresponding leaderboard to track online rankings, Dyad boasts a huge number of leaderboards - 52 in all, each requiring a unique set of skills to master.

I also wanted to mention that David Kanaga did the game's interactive music. Here's his Dyad EP, and you can hear more of his interactive music here.
