180w ago - Following up on the previous update, today PS3 hacker ooPo has announced via Twitter the merger of PSL1GHT V1 and V2 alongside news of an updated PS3Toolchain to support it.

To quote: PSL1GHT is a lightweight PlayStation 3 homebrew SDK that uses the open-source PlayStation 3 toolchains to compile user applications that will run from the XMB menu (GameOS homebrew).

Magic PKG v0.4 Beta PS3 App Updated with Partial English Support

182w ago - Today Alegoria has updated his Magic PKG PS3 homebrew application to version 0.4 which now includes partial English support among the changes detailed below followed by version 1.0.

To quote, roughly translated: Some days programming an operator of PKG, and since I have left something kinda cool, because what the public... I notice I am not a professional program and I do this with an altruistic and disinterested.

I must say it is only tested in Kmeaw 3.55, it also creates this pkg for CFW GeoHot have not tried. No need to have any program or folder keys, simply use the MagicPKG and go.

This program uses internally readself tools, unself, etc... but you need not have them.

Please, if you use it to go posting that you work and no play as well as if you ever find a fault. Thank you very much everybody.

OPERATION: The program itself has a fairly comprehensive tutorial.

FBANext PS3 Emulator Updated, Custom Build and CFW Support!

192w ago - Today the MC68000/Z80 arcade emulator for PlayStation 3 has been updated to FBANext PS3 Custom Build v2 (Wonderpatch) FIXED r417 and now supports Firmware 1.92 and 3.41 for PS3 JailBreak users and GeoHot Custom Firmware 3.55 as well, followed by r22 with a PARAM.SFO fix and r422 Custom v1 which adds a 1.92 PKG fix and triple buffering.

Spelunker HD closely follows Timothy Martin's brilliant original effort of 1983, even down to the quirky level-scrolling scheme that forces the explorer to get dangerously close to the screen edges. All of the cursed original enemies and terrain threats remain, but with so many new additions I've lost count.

It boasts 100 all-new levels set in 10 newly designed HD worlds, plus the familiar explorer who is liable to pass out from lacing up his boots too tightly: Spelunker may have the weakest character in all of gaming!





But what this anemic explorer lacks in might, he makes up for in bravery. He'll need it because Spelunker HD has more pits, tricks, traps and enemies than a cactus has spines.
