New Warframe PS4 Update Out Today: UI, Pets, and Player Ships

50°
4w ago - Digital Extremes Associate Producer Pat Kudirka announced that the new Warframe PS4 update is out today and features a new UI, pets and player ships.

Below are the details, to quote: We know you've been (not so) patiently waiting for this one, Tenno, but we know it's worth the wait! Our team has poured their heart and souls into this update and it shows. Update 14: The Mad Cephalon arrives today on PS4, and with it comes our most ambitious changes to date.

A complete overhaul to the player UI, the arrival of Kubrow companions, our Infested Breeding Grounds event, and the brand new player ship Liset round off our focus on the new-player experience. There's a lot of ground to cover, so let's get started!

Vor's Prize

While we can break down a lot of this update into smaller parts, at the center of it all is Vor's Prize, Warframe's first quest in the newly introduced quest system.

We've completely overhauled our tutorial to give players a better understanding of how to use Warframe powers, acquire some starter mods, and learn the basics of the game all while taking part in a pretty exciting showdown between you and the dangerous Captain Vor.

We've built the tutorial as a sort of prologue to the full game, and anyone with an existing account will...

5w ago - Following up on yesterday's PS4 Firmware 2.00 news, today according to a Sony [Register or Login to view links] the next System Software Update will also include PlayStation 4 XMB Themes with details below.

To quote: "Something PS4 owners have been clamoring for since the system’s launch last November are customization options including themes to make your XMB more personal.

Well at Gamescom Sony announced System Software Update 2.0 which would bring SharePlay among other features to the platform.

As for the other features, it looks like one of those will be themes. The PlayStation Blog crew was discussing the update on the [Register or Login to view links] of the PlayStation Blogcast and 1 hour and 16 minutes into the episode, they announced that themes would be making their way to the PS4 in this update.

They didn’t share if this would mean dynamic themes or static themes, but themes in general will offer a nice break from the static blue background of the PS4′s XMB."

Update: Sid of Sony's Blogcast has...

Total_Noob has just released TN-V9.7 for lower firmware, which fixes some issues with PEOPS SPU plugin. The PS1 games I have tested on TN-V9.7 all work and you may see some improvements. I would try to mess with the SPU thread priority options to see if your favorite PS1 game will get any better results.

You can check out are PS1 compatible list of games. Download the newest revision directly on your PS Vita via the ‘System Update’ option on the XMB in TN-V or grab the files here (linked above) and thanks to SebasRTorron for putting together the super TN-V 9.7 game exploit pack you can download here (linked above).

Changelog TN-V9.7:

  • Added CDDA support for PEOPS SPU plugin -> enhanced PS1
  • Added in-XMB recovery...
