Trine 2: Complete Story Coming to PS4 / PlayStation 4 Tomorrow

100°
46w ago - Today Kai at Frozenbyte announced that Trine 2: Complete Story is coming to PS4 / PlayStation 4 tomorrow with details below.

To quote: Hi everyone. I'm very happy to announce that Trine 2: Complete Story is a PS4 launch game. That was our goal, and it's been a hectic few months, but we've made it. Trine 2: Complete Story is now officially lined up to arrive on PS4 tomorrow.

In the trailer above, you'll see some of the new skills that are available in the Complete Story version, such as the Knight's Kitesail Shield, and the Thief's Low Gravity Arrow. There are a total of 20 levels full of adventure, with sceneries ranging from lush forests to a scorching hot desert, and the insides of a gigantic sandworm - even isles floating in the sky.

Trine 2: Complete Story supports DualShock 4′s touch pad, and it makes many elements of the gameplay very intuitive. An example of this is drawing boxes or planks with the wizard, and moving them around and interacting with the environment.

On the tech side, Trine 2 runs at beautiful full HD 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second. It's truly a sight to see, and what's more is that we're also one of the few games at launch with stereoscopic 3D support. So remember...

Sony Announces Batman: Arkham Origins Out Tomorrow on PS3

100°
49w ago - WB Games Montreal Narrative Designer Ryan Galletta announced today via Sony's Blog that Batman: Arkham Origins is officially out tomorrow on PS3!

To quote: This year, Christmas comes on October 25th when Batman: Arkham Origins launches on PS3. Just like the night before Christmas, the team at WB Games Montreal is staying up late, anxious and excited to see what the morning will bring.

Over the last two years, this team has worked incredibly hard, giving much of their lives to ensure that we honor the name "Batman."

We can't wait to show off our boss fights. In particular, Bane and Deathstroke are going to test your limits in brutal contest. We think Copperhead will come out of Arkham Origins as one of the coolest interpretations of the character.

And the team would be sadly disappointed for anyone who misses out on the Mad Hatter Most Wanted mission. Setting aside how beautiful the rest of the game looks, the art team went a little crazy there, and Peter MacNicol really knocks it out of the park as a very mad Hatter.

All in all, there's a massive playground for you to explore, and the team has made sure that there's a reason to visit every corner of it.

Batman's pain and anger will be channeled straight to the hairs on the back of your neck, thanks...

Video: Valhalla Knights 3 is Out Tomorrow on PlayStation Vita

50w ago - XSeed Games Localization Lead Ryan Graff posted up a new PS Vita video today announcing that Valhalla Knights 3 is due out tomorrow on PlayStation Vita.

To quote: We're so thrilled that Valhalla Knights 3, our massive JRPG set in a sprawling prison, launches tomorrow for PS Vita. It's been a long, challenging, and rewarding process for the team.

The first thing you learn in this industry is how hard everyone works. Whether the project is a hundred-million-dollar blockbuster, or a smaller, niche title, dozens of people across many different teams spend months - if not years - of their lives carrying out a thousand different tasks. Some of those tasks are wildly creative, others bureaucratic and mundane, but it takes all of them together to deliver a game into players' hands.

On Valhalla Knights 3, I was a latecomer. I joined up in early September, when most of the hardest work had already been done. Most of my contributions have been on the bureaucratic side this time around, working with other XSEED members, the game's developers, and our friends at PlayStation to get everything ready for launch.

(To put my work on this project in RPG terms, think of the design phase as exploration, the programming phase as combat, and my work as the part where you open up the menu...

Video: Dishonored Game of the Year Edition Hits PS3 Tomorrow

50°
51w ago - Bethesda Softworks Global Community Lead Matt Grandstaff announced alongside a video that Dishonored Game of the Year Edition hits PS3 tomorrow.

To quote: It's hard to believe this week marks the one year anniversary of Dishonored's release. it's been rewarding to see so many people people get the game [Register or Login to view links] set out to develop.

It's wonderful and very humbling to see the game win numerous Game of the Year accolades (and be able to release a "Game of the Year Edition"), but there's even more satisfaction in hearing fans embracing the fiction and emergent gameplay.

When Arkane was making the final push on finishing the game, their building excitement to see the game in the wild was palpable - like children on Christmas Eve. Visions of YouTube speedruns danced in their heads.

They weren't disappointed. Launch day and the months that followed provided endless entertainment - seeing the variety of ways players took on the role of Corvo - non-lethal playthroughs, absolutely brutal and literally unthinkable killer moves, and everything in between.

Amazing cosplay, fan-fiction, and fan art embracing provided icing on the cake. You guys really like The Outsider.
