Both have released some of most noteworthy titles of the 1990s, including Sonic the Hedgehog and King of Fighters. SEGA has done a great job of bringing some of their most popular titles along with revitalizing one of our favorite blue hedgehogs and now SNK is following in their footsteps.

As an early holiday gift, both of these publishers will be offering sales on a handful of great PSN titles. SNK will be offering PlayStation Plus subscribers a 20% discount on all SNK games when they release in tomorrow's PlayStation Store update.

Also, SEGA will be holding a sale that includes some of their newer releases, such as Valkyria Chronicles 2, Phantasy Star Portable 2, and the re-release of Sonic Adventure. Andrew House Reveals Sony Examines Online Pass for PS3 Titles

550°
226w ago - President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Andrew House has revealed to [Register or Login to view links] that Sony is currently examining the Online Pass model for first-party PS3, PSP and PSN titles.

Both EA and THQ already use an Online Pass system for their multiplayer titles, allowing publishers to reclaim some money from the used video game market as those buying second-hand will need to purchase an online pass for the multiplayer component of the game.

To quote: "Activision's Bobby Kotick had said his company would like to see a subscription based service, however House seemed to warn against this.

"In terms of just a charge for basic online play, that's something that we have to talk about a lot more and we struggle with a little bit because we feel very vindicated and base a lot of the success of PSN today - a 70 per cent connection rate across consoles - on the fact that we've removed that major initial barrier to entry," concluded House."

Finally, Sony has already implemented a similar pass system for PSP shooter SOCOM:...

Video: Kung Fu Rider - PlayStation Move's Unique Launch Title

50°
228w ago - Yesterday we caught a glimpse of Kung Fu Rider in action, and today Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a launch trailer for the upcoming PlayStation Move title.

To quote: When PlayStation Move launches in North America this September, there will be no doubt about which game is the weirdest - it's Kung Fu Rider.

At our past Move Meet-ups, I've been describing this game as the latest in the escaping-from-the-mafia-on-office-furniture genre. It is not a crowded genre.

When we first saw this game (as "Slider") at Game Developers Conference 2010, we weren't sure if this was going to be a simple downloadable title or something more.

As Producer George Weising tells us in this demo, Kung Fu Rider is going to have a lot more to it than we initially anticipated.
