Comcept: Soul Sacrifice for PS Vita Takes Tokyo Game Show

100°
100w ago - Comcept Founder Keiji Inafune has announced today that Soul Sacrifice for PS Vita is taking the Tokyo Game Show this year!

To quote: I'm excited that those of you who are attending Tokyo Game Show will finally be able to have some hands-on experience with Soul Sacrifice!

Once you play the game, I'm sure that you'll have a better sense of the world I've been wanting to create.

You'll be able to face the dilemmas, tough decisions, and the agony of choice that I've been wanting to portray in a game. I believe the TGS demo does a great job of conveying this new concept.

In the trailers and interviews released so far, we've shown the game's dark world setting and shared some of the story elements revealed in the single player mode.

We've also shared a few of the back stories from both the monsters and sorcerers that you'll encounter during gameplay. During TGS, I'm looking forward to showing you what the multiplayer mode can offer.

"Truly cooperate with allies" - I've explained the concept behind the multiplayer mode in the past, but I'm sure you'll gain a full understanding after playing through this TGS demo. You will experience trusting in your friends, being double-crossed or double crossing, and you will realize...

Video: Tall Unlimited Takes You to a Higher Tower This Week

100w ago - MonkeyPaw Games Marketing Manager Ray Almeda has shared a video today announcing that Tall Unlimited will be taking fans to a higher tower this week!

Below are the details, to quote: There is a lot going on here at is a puzzle game that allows your "inner builder" to create a tower of historical proportions.

But you'll need to race time and sweat to do so. The idea is to move blocks and multiply their numbers by creating formations. The concept is simple but it's a devilishly tricky endeavor.

The object of Tall Unlimited is to build your towers as fast as you can, as high as you can. The game is a progressive challenge through eight stages where you have to complete 10 levels in each stage. The gameplay is fast and furious but the complexity is intuitive and the feel is responsive.

So the game comes off refreshingly fun and original. Its addictive action and minimal frustration blends with a creative building element that pulls you in. Like potato chips, once you start you won't want to stop!

MonkeyPaw will continue to bring you closer to your Japanese gaming roots. We want to deliver all those lost classics from a far-away land that you never thought you'd get your trigger finger on. We hope you'll continue to browse our catalog and pick up...

101w ago - Take Two Europe Digital Sales Manager Ross McGrath has announced today that Borderlands 2 is getting a simultaneous PSN digital release.

To quote: By now you'll probably be aware that Borderlands 2 is just one short week from release. That means it'll soon be time for you and up to three friends to return to Pandora and wreak some havoc on Handsome Jack and his nefarious cohorts.

If you want to be among the first to return to the wastes and start your campaign against the Hyperion Corporation then there's still time to head over to PlayStation Store and pre-order ahead of the release on 21st September - the game will be launching at the same time on PSN as in retail stores.

"But why? Tell us why, oh why we should pre-order!" I hear you all shout. Probably.

To become a Borderlands 2 Premiere Club member of course! Not only will becoming a Premiere Club member give you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, but also conveys the following benefits:

•A brand new character class!
•Come 16th October, Gaige the Mechromancer will be joining Axton, Maya, Salvador and Zer0 on Pandora, bringing a new style of play - commanding a mech named D374-TP (that's Deathtrap to you). Gaige will be available absolutely free to all Premiere Club members once...

108w ago - Senior Writer Pawe Miechowski at 11 Bit Studios has posted up a video today announcing that Anomaly: Warzone Earth is taking aim on the PlayStation 3 entertainment system via PSN!

To quote: Hello everyone, Pawe Miechowski from [Register or Login to view links] here to tell you about our original strategy game [Register or Login to view links], which is due on PlayStation Network before the end of summer.

Anomaly is truly... an anomaly. It's a strategy game perfectly suited for console gaming. Let me explain how that works. In the near future, an alien spaceship crashes on Earth and splits into two separate parts.

One falls to Baghdad, while the other lands in Tokyo. A huge dome emerges above each site, separating the cities from the outside world. No one knows what's going on inside, so the domes become known as Anomalies.

You play as the Commander, sent on a mission to investigate what's happened at the Baghdad Anomaly. Once inside, you discover alien war machines destroying everything in their path.

Essentially, Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a "tower offense" game, tipping the tower defense genre on its...

109w ago - Today Communications Manager Nick Clarkson of Team 17 Digital has announced that Worms Revolution will be taking to the Battlefield this October.

To quote: Not many games can claim to have survived as long as [Register or Login to view links]'s Worms.

Born from a simple idea, Worms first appeared in 1995! Now, 17 years later, Worms Revolution is heading to PlayStation 3. It will be available from the PlayStation Store as of 10th October priced at £9.99/€12.99.

It's a completely new game built around the classic Worms 2D gameplay, but it also boasts a range of new, exciting features. Gamers will notice the game's highly polished visuals but it won't be until the action begins that they'll marvel at new physics objects, dynamic water and an awesome class system.

To introduce the plethora of new features, we've created a series of five developer diaries. Here's Worms Revolution's designer, Kev "Chesh" Carthew to introduce the game and tell us how the series came to be.

And if that grabbed your interest take a look at the second clip below to delve a little deeper into the development process with Ian Lindsey, the game's lead programmer.
