Square Enix Launches Final Fantasy XIV Beta Sign Ups

249w ago - With Final Fantasy XIII now released in Japan, Square Enix has just opened up Final Fantasy XIV Beta sign ups along with an official [Register or Login to view links].

All individuals are invited to apply, regardless of their past MMORPG experience.

The official Final Fantasy XIV Beta Web site indicates that the recruitment is currently for the Windows version of FF14 only, however, a PS3 version will follow on a later date according to [Register or Login to view links], to quote:

"When the TGS09 trailer for Final Fantasy XIV hit the Web, there was a disclaimer about a beta test at the very end of the video. In the past it was stated that there would be no beta test for the PS3 version of XIV."

Video: Square Enix Releases Final Final Fantasy XIII Trailer

252w ago - Today Square Enix has [Register or Login to view links] the final Final Fantasy XIII trailer (below) for Sony's PS3 and Microsoft's XBox 360 console.

This last trailer showcases some footage not seen before, and really sets the game up for next the 3 weeks until its launch in Japan on December 17, 2009.

For those curious, it's heading to Europe and North America on March 9, 2010.

To quote: "Square-Enix has just released the final Final Fantasy XIII trailer. Showcasing never before witnessed segments, this is the final trailer set to be released before the official release in Japan in just three short weeks.

With everything leading up to the launch, Square-Enix certainly went out with a bang with the trailer.

Some of the trailer features previous footage from older trailers, but a lot of the content is new. With, what appears to be an emotional story, Final Fantasy XIII should be one of the most emotional entries of the legendary saga."




 

Square Enix Confirms Just Cause 2 to Arrive in March, 2010

Square Enix to Provide Eidos with Deus Ex 3 Cinematics

252w ago - Square Enix Japan has confirmed today that they has bee working with Eidos Montreal in the development of Deus Ex 3.

Stephane D'Astous from Eidos has commented, to quote:

"Deus Ex 3 is going to be the first project which will be a concrete product of joint effort between Square Enix and Eidos," said D'Astous.

"The cinematics–by which I mean any CGI pre-rendered cinematics – are going to be done in Tokyo by Square Enix, and that's going to be amazing."

"We already have some pre-visualisations," continued D'Astous. "The people in Tokyo are just so glad to work on it; this is the first project for them that's a non-Final Fantasy title– they even want to work on Thief 4 too, so everyone is really excited."

Well it looks like this might be another game to be tracking down before its released.

Square Enix Puzzle Hints at New Final Fantasy XIII Announcement

254w ago - Update: [Register or Login to view links] has now uncovered what appears to be a preliminary picture (below) of the Final Fantasy XIII North American PS3 box art on [Register or Login to view links].

Square Enix have posted an anagram on their official North American Final Fantasy XIII [Register or Login to view links] recently. The puzzle, dubbed "A Henchmen Inventor Tent Unto," appears to hint at an upcoming Final Fantasy XIII announcement.

Shortly following its release, [Register or Login to view links] uncovered the message's meaning as: "Announcement Nov Thirteenth."

To quote: "The nature of this 'announcement' is still up in the air, though our money's on an official North American release date for the super-anticipated RPG.

Though, considering the speed at which the series is growing now, we wouldn't be surprised if Squeenix went ahead and dropped the Final Fantasy XV bomb on us."
