231w ago - Update: RPGLand.com has now uncovered what appears to be a preliminary picture (below) of the Final Fantasy XIII North American PS3 box art on Play-Asia.com.

Square Enix have posted an anagram on their official North American Final Fantasy XIII Web site recently. The puzzle, dubbed "A Henchmen Inventor Tent Unto," appears to hint at an upcoming Final Fantasy XIII announcement.

Shortly following its release, FinalFantasy-XIII.net uncovered the message's meaning as: "Announcement Nov Thirteenth."

To quote: "The nature of this 'announcement' is still up in the air, though our money's on an official North American release date for the super-anticipated RPG.

Though, considering the speed at which the series is growing now, we wouldn't be surprised if Squeenix went ahead and dropped the Final Fantasy XV bomb on us."

Square-Enix Publishing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in Japan?

100°
242w ago - Apparently there is a chance that Square-Enix, RPG giant, famous for the Final Fantasy series is aiding in the publishing of Modern Warfare 2 in Japan.

A new teaser site posted by Square-Enix, shows some Japanese text (sorry I can't read it so I couldn't translate it), and the familiar Modern Warfare "2". Also the legal info at the bottom of the site credits Activision.

This is just my opinion or view on the situation, but I believe that Square-Enix is helping to push Modern Warfare 2 in Japan, due to their strong following and support in the Final Fantasy series.

By selling the product with a widely known name, there is a chance for better coverage and spread of the product as well as targeting the company's main supporters.

Today the countdown has ended, and as pictured below the game revealed on the site is indeed a sequel dubbed Lord of Vermilion 2.

To quote: Now that the countdown is over, the title that was shrouded behind mystery has been revealed. Come this autumn, the sequel to Lord of Vermilion will make it's way on the scene.

Unfortunately, no platforms have been revealed, but wouldn't it make a great PlayStation Eye game? Post your thoughts below!

Square Enix Teaser Site Updated Again, for Lord of Vermillion?

100°
245w ago - Today the Square Enix teaser site that was launched a few days ago has been updated again.

neo2046 of NeoGAF has deduced that it is apparently for Square Enix's arcade card game "Lord of Vermillion" or a related title... we'll know for certain on August 7th, 2009.

To quote: It appears Square Enix has yet again updated the countdown to their mystery game, which is set to be unveiled on August 7th in Japan.

In this latest update, images of a man and a dragon can be seen in the background. Thanks to the work of NeoGAF users, it appears this game has something to do with Square Enix's arcade game Lord of Vermillion, either being an new game or a port of the arcade version.

Square Enix Launches 'VII Days' PS3 Teaser Site, Artwork Leaked

400°
246w ago - Square Enix is taking a liking to teaser sites, amongst other companies like Atlus and Cyberconnect 2, in doing countdowns for reveals of Front Mission Evolved for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Final Fantasy Gaiden for DS and more.

Today, however, a new PS3 teaser site comes in as follows:

Titled "0807", the new teaser site features nothing but the words "VII Days" and a countdown timer that ends in approximately twelve hours.

We're guessing this is going to follow in the shoes of Hideo Kojima's countdown timer and start a new countdown in twelve hours considering that the date in the title of the page is August 7th, which is seven days from now.

While searching through the flash site, rykomatsu of PSU has also uncovered some new leaked concept art (below).

As for now, speculate away in the comments below!
