To quote: Starting today, you can pick up Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut on both PS3 and PS Vita. The game has Cross-Buy and Cross-Save functionality, and is available through PlayStation Store for $12.99 ($11.69 for PlayStation Plus members).
Here at Curve Studios, we've been working with talented indie developers to bring their games to you guys via PS3 and Vita. For Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut, we've been working very closely with the creator and developer of the original Lone Survivor, Jasper Byrne.
What is Lone Survivor? As the game itself will remind you, this is one to play in the dark with headphones on.
Jasper describes Lone Survivor as a "psychological survival adventure game." It has taken elements from classic adventure games and the best bits of the survival horror genre to create something you haven't seen before.
You can expect scares, scarcity of ammo and exploration of surreal and atmospheric environments to be a big part of the game, but there's also an element of psychological horror...
11w ago - Curve Studios PR and Marketing Manager Rob Clarke has announced release date details for Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut on both PS3 and PS Vita below today.
To quote: Hey everyone, Rob here, representing the fine men and women of Curve studios in London. I'm very happy to announce that Lone Survivor will be out this coming Tuesday, the 24th of September.
Lone Survivor was originally released for the PC last year by indie developer Jasper Byrne. After eight months of work with Jasper on the PS3 and PS Vita versions, we're very happy to say that we've created the definitive version of this game.
Jasper describes the game as a "Psychological Survival Adventure." It has all the hallmarks of classic survival horror games - high on atmosphere and low on available sources of ammunition.
Players can choose to use stealth or firepower to deal with the monsters in Lone Survivor. Depending on player choices, the game can play out very differently, with many optional scenes and different endings.
For the PlayStation version, we started with simple upgrades, like adding touch support on Vita and improving the lighting system... and things spiralled from there!
We've added over twenty new items, new endings, and new game locations. All of them have been...
11w ago - Today Tyrone Rodriguez at Nicalis detailed Legend of Raven for the PlayStation Vita handheld console.
Below are the details, to quote: Fighting and PS Vita fans, rejoice! If you follow great PS Vita games, you probably know that Legend of Raven, the high-speed, 2D fighter, is coming later this year. And if you don't know about Legend of Raven, where have you been?
Legend of Raven features an awesome, hard-rocking guitar soundtrack, beautifully drawn characters and backgrounds, and gameplay to rival some of the best 2D fighters available today.
Headed to PSN, Legend of Raven will give you guys and girls the opportunity to go head-to-head locally (via Ad Hoc) with your friends.
A super-unique color commentary system emulates that old arcade experience. I'm sure some of you remember going to arcades or watching tournaments, seeing AND hearing the action.
It's just like that, except without the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. Literally, the in-game commentary will pop-up from time to time when you're clobbering an opponent with a vicious combo or finishing them off with a super move.
For those among us who want to learn a bit more about how the controls work, Legend of Raven features a four-button attack system and two varieties of punches and...
12w ago - Sony Community Manager James Spafford shared details today on building your own papercraft world in Tearaway on PlayStation Vita.
To quote: Tearaway is a game set in a papery world, which means that if you wanted to, you could craft the entire game from paper in the real world - and that's exactly what we hope people will do!
To help you along your way, we've filled the game will collectible papercraft plans, which you can unlock as you journey through the world.
As you play, you'll come across creatures, plants or objects that appear to be drained of their colour. Taking a picture of them with your character's in-game camera restores their colour, and unlocks their plan.
Each plan has various different skins - blank ones, or colorful ones, so you can either make something that looks like it does in the game, or customise them to look completely different and unique to you.
The plans will be accessed on our community website, where you'll find everything you've unlocked so far, and from here you'll be able to print them out, make them, and fill your house with papercraft!
The journey doesn't end there though. Once you've made your papercraft model, you can upload a picture of your creation to the website to share it with the...
12w ago - Guerrilla Cambridge Senior Producer Mark Green posted up a fresh Killzone Mercenary PS Vita video today spotlighting the week one multiplayer stats below.
To quote: A week after Killzone Mercenary's launch, one of the great things to see is how so many different people play the game in so many different ways.
Looking at the stats I can see that the M82 and the silenced STA-52SE are the weapons of choice for a lot of people, each racking up 5M+ kills already, but digging deeper it's great to see that some of the other weapons are being wielded very effectively.
I'd expected my personal favourite - the STA-14 - to be topping the headshot charts, but it's actually being pipped at the post by the up close and personal touch of the silenced STA-18SE.
It seems there are a lot of you out there who really don't want to show up on the radar! No doubt those people have already bought the Infiltrator Armour as well.
If you want to check out some of the stats for yourself then take at looks at Blackjack's on the official Killzone Mercenary site.
If you're already playing, then I hope you like watching what's...
