Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender DX Coming to PS4 and PS Vita

50°
10w ago - Tikipod Ltd Director Dugan Jackson announced today that Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender DX is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms with details below.

To quote: Hi there! My name is Dugan - founder of Tikipod Ltd, a super small video game developer based in the UK. I'm very excited to introduce our crazy, action-packed, cat-based, underwater shoot 'em up, Aqua Kitty - Milk Mine Defender DX (Aqua Kitty DX for short)!

Originally an award-winning PSM launch title, we have been working super hard to overhaul and enhance the game for a brand new launch on PS4 and PS Vita at the end of November.

Never heard of Aqua Kitty before? Well, let me explain the unusual story a little.

Due to a sudden shortage of milk, cats around the world are forced to seek out new sources to get their fix. You and your team of milk mining kittens have overcome a fear of water to drill down under the ocean seabed and begin extracting vast reserves of what seems to be naturally forming, full-fat milk.

You have to blast your way through hordes of mechanical sea monsters in your powerful kitty submarine and defend the deep sea milk mining kittens!

The core to your survival is managing the submarines secondary turbo-fire. It has limited energy but recharges itself between uses and...

Video: Puzzle Platformer Klaus Coming to PS4 and PlayStation Vita

10w ago - Game Designer Victor Velasco shared a trailer video today spotlighting Puzzle Platformer Klaus coming to PS4 and PlayStation Vita platforms below.

To quote: Klaus is a narrative driven, 2D puzzle-platformer that provides a non linear, self-aware experience while striving towards a fluid gameplay that allows the player to control two characters as well as the environment.

Together, Klaus will be an immersive gameplay experience on PS4 and PS Vita in the second quarter of 2015.

Klaus wakes up in a mechanical prison with complete amnesia: he doesn't remember who he is or how he got there. His only clue is the word KLAUS tattooed on his arm.

This mystery will develop through the narrative, as Klaus meets other characters (both friendly and hostile) and discovers clues littered throughout the environment. Through exploration, the player will piece together his past and the realities of the enigmatic world he finds himself stuck in.

Along the way, Klaus will meet K1, a friendly brute damaged by prolonged imprisonment. With Klaus' hacking ability, and K1′s propensity to smash, our two protagonists will have to work together to reach the end of their existential journey.

Video: Double Fine at PlayStation Experience: Play Grim Fandango

300°
11w ago - Double Fine Founder Tim Schafer shared a video today inviting fans to play Grim Fandango at PlayStation Experience.

To quote: Hello PlayStation Nation! The Bone Wagon is headed to Las Vegas!

We've got a shiny new build of Grim Fandango Remastered and we're bringing it to [Register or Login to view links]!

This is your last chance to get your hands on Manny before the game is released, so please come to the Double Fine booth and check it out. I'll be there too, loitering around, signing stuff, talking about the old days, and giving out free hugs. REMASTERED hugs.

Also, we'll be showing the game running for the very first time on PS Vita! It's a great way to play the game, and a beautiful little handful of bones. I'm not sure what that last phrase means, but it sounds poetic so I'm going to leave it in.

And hopefully there will be even more surprises once you get there! So come see Manny Calavera in the flesh! (In the bones? Well, you know what I mean.)

See you there, and... Viva la Revolucion!

Vertex Pop: Twin-stick Shooter We Are Doomed to Hit PS4, PS Vita

50°
11w ago - Vertex Pop's Mobeen Fikree announced today that Twin-stick Shooter We Are Doomed is slated to hit both PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: Hello there! I'm Mo, founder of Vertex Pop, a tiny independent video game studio based in Toronto, Canada.

I'm really excited to introduce We Are Doomed, a twin-stick shooter where you zap polygon baddies with an insanely overpowered laserbeam. I want to tell you all about the core mechanics of the game, the unique visuals, and my plans to bring it to PS4 and PS Vita.

And I'll be showing We Are Doomed at PlayStation Experience next month, so please come by if you're attending!

The first thing you'll notice is that the player is armed with a powerful but close-range laserbeam weapon. If you want to get anywhere in We Are Doomed, you need to dive right into the action. Hanging back and picking off baddies will simply not do.

You'll also want to charge your already overpowered laserbeam into a SUPERBEAM, which is when things get a little absurd. The SUPERBEAM is a brief triumph: a beam that goes all the way across the screen, zapping everything it touches in short order. You'll want to make the most of your time with it. But remember to keep your cool, because you're still vulnerable when using it.

The entire game...

Spelunky Update: New Features Now Live on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

100°
11w ago - Sony Lead Account Manager Nick Suttner announced news of new features now live on their Spelunky update for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: With Spelunky finally making its glorious PS4 debut last month - hopefully you were able to grab it free in PlayStation Plus while it lasted! - there are more explorers than ever plumbing the depths of the jungle, battling incensed shopkeepers, and dying in an endless cavalcade of unexpected and hilarious ways.

For those new players still feeling overwhelmed, be sure to check out my Survival Guide from last year; a few basic tips go a long way, and the experience is even more fun when you're sharing tactics and stories of your travels with friends.

Speaking of sharing, you may have noticed that the PS4 has a few killer new features, including the ability to watch full replays of anyone's Daily Challenge run straight from the leaderboards, as well as seeing where your friends died (and what killed them) in the Daily Challenge, represented by their ghost. I'm thrilled to be able to announce that those features have been added to the PS3 and PS Vita versions, available now via a free update!

Not only that, but...
