Sony Announces SingStar Debuts on PS4 October 28th, 2014

50°
1w ago - Sony Producer Jenny Murphy announced today that SingStar debuts on PS4 this October 28th with details below.

To quote: Hi everyone! As you may remember, this year we announced that we were bringing a revamped digital version of SingStar to PS4.

Well, I'm very excited to share with you that the new addition to the SingStar franchise will be coming out on October 28th. The wait is over!

This new, updated version of SingStar will be available in North America (as well as Canada, Brazil and Mexico!) as a free digital download, exclusively on PlayStation Network for both PS4 and PS3.

With this download you will get the game client with direct access to the SingStore so you can easily browse through and purchase songs to build your library. If you are new to SingStar you can check out the available free demo songs and see what all the fun is about.

As we promised, the price for songs and song packs will remain the same as they did in previous versions of the game. You can purchase songs from the in-game SingStore or directly from PSN - individual songs are $1.49 and song packs containing five songs are $5.99, thus giving you the ability to customize and build your library however you wish!

The best news is if you have already purchased songs from the SingStore...

To quote: PS4 - The State of Things Part III: I/O Vulnerability Analysis

After we checked the environment of the PS4, we should continue with more detailed analysis where, how and what we can im- & export from the system to actually affect it.

Let's see what our general I/O possibilities are first:

USB

Have you noticed the application "SHAREfactory" on your PS4? One of it's interesting features is to import music files via USB. Vulnerability? Maybe. At least [Register or Login to view links] has all actual patches applied.

SHAREfactory USB music import. Also useful as mediaplayer

Another USB feature is the import and export of screenshots, gameplay videos and savegames. Worth to check I'd say.

HDD

As expected the HDD is encrypted so you can't do much here, yet. But remember the PS3...

2w ago - Honeyslug's Pat Ashe posted up a video today spotlighting how to weaponize a llama in Super Exploding Zoo on PS4 and PS Vita with details below.

To quote: Eh up y'all! Pat from Honeyslug, the dream team behind Frobisher Says and Hohokum, here to chat about the best game about exploding animals you'll play all decade: Super Exploding Zoo, our new game coming to PS4 and PS Vita!

That old family favorite, the Super Exploding Zoo, is under attack from evil aliens who've come to devour all the lovely, tasty animal eggs! Only the rampaging herd of explosive animals can save the zoo in this arcade-y tower defence-y explode-em-up.

Gather up herds of exploding animals and blast your way through 80 destructible levels as you defend your precious eggs against those greedy alien marauders by slamming into and blowing them up.

Before we get into the meat and potatoes of the game, let's take a stroll down memory lane and see where the fledgling game began. It all began with this humble prototype first knocked up back in the mists of time.

As you can see the art style has totally changed since way back then, those rubbish rabbits got bumped out in favor of the far superior penguins.

Menacing, cold hearted robots were replaced by nasty greasy aliens (Why would...

We're also massive PlayStation fans and we're all about helping indie developers bring their games to console.

Today I've got the honor of announcing a brand new title that we're developing for PlayStation in 2015. It's called Nova-111 (pronounced "Nova-one-eleven" if you were curious), and it's something very special.

We fell in love with the game the very first time we played an early preview version, and we think it's going to be a perfect fit as an accessible but challenging puzzle game on PS4 and PS Vita.

Nova-111 is a sci-fi...
