50w ago - Following up on his previous release, today PlayStation 3 homebrew developer condorstrike has shared a video preview of a PS3 homebrew game he's working on entitled Pointman below.
From his blog, to quote: Hi guys, here’s a preview of my PS3 Homebrew game “Pointman the Akkadian wars”
It is still in development and this video is more of a teaser, since every time I give myself an ETA I keep adding new stuff and keep delaying the release.
The video is of the main menu and story intro, no gameplay (WIP) hope you like it. caw!
Finally, also from condorstrike comes a PS3LoadX PKG test file, who states the following:
I've been doing some testing myself with mixed results, good to hear about Solar. I have this one pkg to test, a new version of ps3loadx, can you or anyone else test this? If this one works it would allow launching of Selfs.
54w ago - Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson has announced today that the Resistance Collection lands on PS3 December 5th.
To quote: This holiday season just got better. Resistance Collection is hitting stores starting December 5th, and it makes a great gift for any shooter fan who hasn't had a chance to experience one of the best FPS trilogies on PS3.
Resistance started as I-8, a return to Insomniac's roots making first-person shooters (Disruptor was our first-ever game on PSOne).
It evolved from a space opera featuring lizard-like aliens into an alternate history World War I shooter, before eventually evolving into the 1950s-era game that launched alongside PS3. Over the three titles, we had an incredible experience developing the Resistance franchise for PlayStation fans.
From Resistance: Fall of Man's 40-player multiplayer, to Resistance 2's 8-player online co-op, to Resistance 3's heroic survival of Joseph Capelli in a brutal world, everyone at Insomniac is incredibly proud of what we accomplished with the Resistance trilogy.
For all of you who haven't had the chance to check them out yet, the trilogy gives you the opportunity to experience them...

58w ago - Following up on my PoC Demo and the recent Paintown Special CFW 4.21 update by markus95, today I am releasing the PS3 homebrew game Resident Evil Operation Paintown along with a video of it in action below!
Ever wondered what the Resident Evil series would've been like had it been put out on the Snes or Megadrive ? Well ponder no more as I have answered that ultimate question with this.
I have put a load of hours into this, roughly 12 hours a day for 3 weeks and had no help from anyone (even though I did message someone who didn't bother to message me back) If I get a big enough response from this one I shall start work on a ''Aliens'' one with marines, pulse riffles, power loaders, etc, etc
Hello folks, Remember last week how I showcased my Resi paintown colaberation ? Well I said roughly 4 weeks before you'd see a release well I have some exciting news for you all, After working flat out all week I have a beta version ready for you to enjoy, there will be updates in the coming weeks adding stuff that I haven't finished like some more special...
58w ago - Below is a video tutorial from GameBlamer on YouTube demonstrating how to dump PS Vita games via the recently released PS3 CFW 4.21.
It has not been confirmed yet and I am not the uploader, I just found it randomly so consider it a proof-of-concept if it ends up working or an 'entertainment purposes only' video if not.
The video is partly in English and part in German, and although it can be followed if anyone wishes to translate the German parts to English or make a new video let us know and we will update this article with it... those interested can check it out below!
Finally, from wololo (via wololo.net/2012/10/25/backing-up-vita-games-using-the-new-4-21-cfw-by-rogero/) on the above video to quote:
