According to greavsie of the official European PlayStation Forums when you register on the official DivX site MoviePromo.Divx.com you are entitled to a free movie download that you can transfer to the PlayStation 3.

To quote: "All you need is to get a DivX VOD Registration Code from your PS3's System Settings and then enter that code on your Web site account.

You will then have to download a small file to play on your PlayStation 3 to activate it for Video-on-demand playback.

Finally, you can now choose what movie you want for free. The selection is small and not great, but the best one is probably Batman Begins. To download the film, you need the latest version of DivX installed on your PC."

We already know of Netflix's plans to stream to Sony Bravia TV Sets, and in the past both a survey and CNET have hinted that Netflix may be coming to Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

Today, according to the Associated Press, Netflix stocks are riding high after management announced they'll soon be extending their "watch instantly" Internet streaming service to a new "device."

Just what is this device? Netflix isn't telling - not yet, anyway. As of now, they've only hinted that it's "already owned by a large number of consumers." This, of course, has revivified speculation that the service will soon become available for the PlayStation 3 or Wii.

In fact, analysts are already betting the device they're referring to will either be the PS3 or Wii. To be sure,...

198w ago - Naughty Dog's Senior Manager of Marketing Communications Arne Meyer has announced today that Uncharted 2 for PS3 was dubbed GamesCom's best console game.

To quote: Just last week, one of our Senior Character Artists, Hanno, and I hopped on a plane to head over to Cologne, Germany, to work at Europe's biggest videogames show, Gamescom. It turns out that we absolutely had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

This was the first European show for Hanno and myself, as we had never been to the Leipzig Games Convention in the previous years. We weren't prepared at all on how huge gamescom was - not only in importance, but in sheer physical size.

There were four different halls at the Koelnmesse where games were being shown and EACH hall was about the same size of an airplane hangar. The PlayStation booth was probably one of the biggest booths we've ever seen and was split into four main sections representing racing games, family games, social entertainment and an 18+ area.

We were looking forward to going to Germany since we were hand-carrying over something really special with us - a fresh set of Blu-ray disks that would allow anyone at gamescom to have the first hands-on gameplay ever with the single player campaign of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves!
