3w ago - Double Eleven Limited Chief Operating Officer Mark South announced today that Nom Nom Galaxy is setting a course for PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

To quote: We're delighted to let you all know that Nom Nom Galaxy is coming to PS4 and PS Vita!

Our relationship with Q-Games has previously brought [Register or Login to view links], and more recently [Register or Login to view links] to PlayStation Store, building on some great titles from the past.

Nom Nom Galaxy, however, is a new title that we are developing together with Q-Games in Japan as a co-development.

We've always been impressed with Q's ability to generate very unique worlds and play mechanics, and we believe NNG is the pinnacle of their efforts!

It's a genre melter that's a co-op multiplayer game about building, expanding and maintaining an interstellar soup factory with your friends. It blends elements of tower defense, sandbox exploration, co-op platforming, resource management and construction, all set in a unique living eco-system.

It's...

Video: Honeyslug Announces Hohokum Out Today on PS4, PS3, PS Vita

3w ago - Honeyslug Designer and Co-Founder Ricky Haggett announced that Hohokum is out today on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita with a video below.

To quote: Okay wow, the day has finally arrived: the Long Mover's tail has been polished and waxed, the Giant Babirusa's tusks sharpened, and the Popnuts buffed to a high gloss: it's Hohokum laaaaaunch day!

You can purchase today on PlayStation Store, and Hohokum supports cross buy for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.

It's a curiously emotional feeling to finally be done. I know that a lot of you folks have been waiting for Hohokum for a while now, so I hope you agree that the wait was worth it.

Possibly the best part about the public release for me is that I'll now be able to talk about the whole game rather than just the parts that we've shown so far. I can't wait to hear what people make of all those other places, and seeing all the experiences you share!

The last few weeks have seen people getting (rightly) excited by the amazing soundtrack: a collaboration with the independent record label [Register or Login to view links]. Working with Ghostly has been a delight. We never imagined Hohokum would sound like this when starting out!

The full soundtrack will be released soon, but you can stream it here...

Xdev Studio: Murasaki Baby Launching on PS Vita This September

50°
3w ago - Xdev Studio Europe Producer Chris Jones announced that Murasaki Baby is launching on PS Vita this September with details below.

To quote: Hi all, today we'd like to share some more details with you on the world of Murasaki Baby. We're currently hard at work putting the finishing touches on the game.

We're excited to announce that she'll be arriving on your PS Vita in early September for $14.99 and we can't wait for you to meet her and wander around her weird world!

We're also really pleased to announce the collaboration with renowned music composer Akira Yamaoka who has created an exclusive music track for the game. Yamaoka-san is best known for his eerily ambient Silent Hill soundtracks, and he has partnered up with Ovosonico music producer & co-founder, Gianni Ricciardi to create a truly weird and wonderful soundtrack.

For those who've never seen Murasaki Baby before, this is a game where you lead Baby through a unique land of nightmares on the quest to find her mother. By simply holding her hand you have to solve the puzzles as you go and help her reach her goal.

Along the way you'll encounter different characters, which you'll need to help so that they can help you on your journey. You can see some of the new characters, such as Bunny Boy, a disco kid who's...

Video: Sony Goes Hands-on with Freedom Wars on PS Vita

3w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill went hands-on today sharing a PS Vita video showcasing Freedom Wars on PlayStation Vita below.

To quote: PS Vita exclusive Freedom Wars comes courtesy of Japan Studio, Dimps, and Shift, and places you into the unfortunate shoes of a prisoner facing a one million year sentence.

It's not all bad news, though! By battling fearsome Abductors and rescuing citizens, your captors will generously reduce the length of your imprisonment - a few years at a time.

Featuring four-player local co-op (via an ad-hoc wireless connection, with vacant slots filled by computer-controlled companions), Freedom Wars rewards coordinated cooperative play.

One player can use a grappling hook to pull an enemy to the ground, while another dashes in to rescue an innocent trapped within the beast's chest.

While transporting a civilian to safety, you'll rely on the protection of your teammates to keep you and your cargo alive. Alternatively, eight player (4v4) competitive play is an option when playing via the magic of the internet.

I recently went hands-on with Freedom Wars, along with my pals Ken, Kumi and Jake, the results of which you can see at the top...

Video: The Hungry Horde Devours PlayStation Vita This Year

50°
3w ago - Nosebleed Interactive's Andreas Firnigl shared a PS Vita video trailer today confirming that The Hungry Horde devours PlayStation Vita this year.

To quote: Wow. We're featured on the PlayStation.Blog! I'm Andreas Firnigl, Director at [Register or Login to view links].

We're a small development studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, and the reason we're surprised we're on here is that we've come rather a long way in the last couple of years.

We'd like to introduce you all to "The Hungry Horde." Like all good ideas, it's a pretty simple concept. You start the game off controlling a couple of wayward zombies. Every time you bite a human they join your ever-increasing horde, until you're controlling whole streets full of the undead.

Unfortunately, rampaging through the streets eating brains is always going to grab someone's attention, and sensing the danger to the population the government has decided to do the only sensible thing they can: quarantine the area and nuke you.

So it's a race against the clock to gather a big enough horde to smash down any human defenses and take on armed guards, tanks and any other opposition that gets between you and those tasty brains.
