  • New game covers (Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, ...)

To quote: Ok, guys. Unfortunately I forced to admit that I have no more time to work on PS3 stuff because I'm very busy lately. So I decided to publish all information related to PS2 classics as JuanNadie did with the NPDRM algorithm one year ago.

Firstly I wanted to say that he was the first who started reverse-engineering on this subject and when he left the scene I decided to continue his work to keep it from going to waste. And so I would like to thank JuanNadie for his amazing contribution to the PS3 scene. Besides that, he gave me some piece of information on the subject.


 

Sony CEO Jack Tretton Confirms PS4 / PlayStation 4 Game Pricing

74w ago - In a recent interview with CNBC (linked above), Sony CEO Jack Tretton has confirmed PS4 / PlayStation 4 video game pricing as ranging from $0.99 to $60 with demos available as well.

Below are the details, to quote: "On pricing, Tretton said that the PS4 is "designed with the game developer in mind and the consumer in mind," and will offer games with prices ranging from $0.99 to the more traditional $60 range with the ability for players to sample games before they buy.

"I think people are willing to pay if they see the value there," he said. "The heat for the true gamer is on the console."

He said that games on mobile devices are "additive experiences" and that gamers won't "migrate down the food chain" for their primary gaming experience."

In related PlayStation 4 news today, [Register or Login to view links] reports that PS4 supports PS Move, but not the DualShock 3 controller.

74w ago - Evolution Studios Game Director Matt Southern announced today that racing evolves on PlayStation 4 / PS4 with Driveclub!

To quote: When I joined Evo nine years ago, the first concept I worked on was for a racing game that was all about racing with friends. It combined the best cars (and they would have to be real ones), on the most breathtaking roads in the world, with gameplay that was totally focused on team-based racing.

I loved the job from day one.

The game was all about utter car passion. It was about connecting people who are as in love with car culture as we are, and creating a universe for these impassioned racers to all play together.

We created web design concepts that showed how you could connect with people and access your club when you were away from the living room, and we created prototypes of the most immersive, detailed vehicle interiors and exteriors possible.

Except...they weren't possible. Our concept was simple, but needed a socially connected network and audiovisual technology that wasn't available.





When we knew PlayStation 4 was coming, we realised that the time was right to make the Driveclub dream a reality. It was time to combine nearly 15 years...
